Doesn't creasing the wallpaper like that totally mess it up? Is this how you are supposed to cut lengthwise? I have very expensive paper and I don't want to bugger it up by creasing it before I cut.

Good instruction here. I hung wall coverings for over 20 yrs. I have installed about every product sold including wall carpet. After 46 yrs. in the painting,drywall, wall covering trade, I am semi-retired at 74 of age this coming Nov. 18..
