  • conheco o silverchair desde a epoca do frogstomp e sou musico.

  • prefiro nao comentar.

  • weed made him stop that opera shit from diorama to release a real rockn roll album again. Good weed

  • diorama was opera?!

  • yes, listen to across the night, luv ur life, etc

  • do you know what opera even is?

  • youre a fast answer!! Unbeliviable! I dont know shit about opera, thats why i dislike diorama

  • 9 YM demos were leaked. i hope so hard this whole one come out too, soon!

  • Yeah I got the 9 demos. But not All across the world =(

  • aww I love this version much more than the original, it sounds so trippy. Let me know if you are able to find it plz =)

  • @joeyslb Because these are Daniel's demos, before they back together...

  • whas wrong with weed johns was never anti weed drugs yeah but shit maybe he smoke green to have fun and chill yall need to stop bein so up tight he ain't a lil kid no more and i heard they been smokin since frogstomp he just more open about it now but yall need to pull ya skirts down damn

  • so wait like...people keep saying he just recently became a pothead, which i dont care much about, but did he really never smoke till recently? not even harder drugs??? thats weird.

  • not that anyone knows of for sure! some people are just naturally strange lol

  • I honestly don't think he's on pot, I really believe that he just doesn't give a fuck about what people think of him- he's just firing up his creativity without having to deal with record execs or any additional bullshit in his life

  • he's a self-proclaimed pot smoker

but I doubt he does harder drugs

  • self-proclaimed? when did this happen?

  • sorry, maybe self-proclaimed was the wrong term. But you can see him smoking on various videos on youtube, and apparently the book A New Tomorrow about the band states he was stoned pretty much throughout the Dissociatives tour. Also, a friend of mine gave him some and he was verrrry appreciative ;)

  • I know that he smoked cigs, but I really can't believe that 100%, since he spent 2-3 albums writing some anti-drug songs. It's a shame if he did jump to some substance, since I've always loved the idea that he was so creative because he wanted to be, not because of a joint. It's a respect that he might lose if he admits that he's just some stoner.

  • pfft marijuana just aids in the creative process, it's not like he's smoking crack. It helps you tap into a part of the brain that's difficult to access normally. he is a creative person sober, but if the weed helps him become even more creative, what's the harm? if you think weed is bad for musicians, then take every great album you've ever owned and toss them.

  • <3<3<3<3<3

  • If someone's needs weed to get creative, then they're not. Simple.

  • It helps you tap into a part of the brain that's difficult to access normally? Yeah probably because it's difficult to see purple floaty men when oxygen is getting to your brain without toxins in it. Give me a break.

  • lol!! since when does weed make you hallucinate? what have you been smokin?

  • well maybe he is self-proclaimed. Taken from GQ:"Apart from insomnia, there were lots of other ingredients fueling the writing process with Young Modern," he says, "Don't worry, I wasn't doing smack or anything, but it's no secret that artists smoke pot, and I needed to take a dramatic leap and commit to a really psychedelic rock 'n' roll record."

  • sounds beautiful, - album version sucks

  • i like both versions. i wish they released a simple one like this as a b side on one of the next singles....what does everyone reckon the next sengle (2nd) one is gonna be?

  • this sounds much better than the album version

  • yeah and for the dissociatives....

  • This is the last song on the album. And he may have smoked during Diorama but he didn't before.

  • oh who cares if he's smoking pot? he also did it with the other albums too....

  • yep he's definately smoking a joint.

  • I love Silverchair... can't wait for this release... it is going to rock.. I love the sound of all the new material from their lives.

  • this is probably going to be the albums last song so it may be different from the others

  • the song is called 'all across the world' and will be featured on the 'straight lines' single.

the footage you see here is not from the album recording session but the demos recording sessions. this was recorded somewhere in australia whereas the album was tracked in la, california

  • Maybe this album will be softer..I like the more rock sound last time..but whatever it is ,i think it'll still be great cause Silverchair is a great band and Daniel is a bloody genious!

  • I honestly hope this tune isnt on young modern. unless its like a closer. for some reason it just doesnt seem to fit what I think thealbums gonna end up being. but it still is a kickass tune!

  • the orchestra was recorded at Prague with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Last time they recorded it in the same studio in Australia.

  • This new album was recorded, demos in Australia, but the album itself in Seedy Underbelly Studios, in Los Angeles. I don't know if it's the same orchestra, but I think it isn't.

  • Aww wow that was beautiful.

  • which studio is this?

  • Sorry, I don't know which studio it is! You may find informations on the Chairpage! Bye!

  • so far this is the only track off their new record that resembles diorama at all. Like Daniel said this will be a funky album that you could dance to... definately a mixture of dissos and chair... no matter how you add it up though, it's 100% daniel Johns... what more can you ask for? The man's a genious

  • well said!!!

  • diorama was great but i prefered the sound that neon ballroom had. i think this album may be too much like the dissociatives though... i may be disappointed. Bring back rock

  • hm, like the dissociatives sound o.o

  • I hope that they use the same orchestra.

  • for anyone catching the dissociatives on tour you will recognize a song on the new record, new modern was an idea in progress for that tour.

  • I think its gonna be a hybrid of Diorama and Dissociatives, with a bit of their rock sound too. Its been indevelopment for like 2 years so i think its gonna be a work of art. Cant wait!

  • Can't wait to hear the new album!
