I wish they would make a non-professional version of the V5900, that card is fucking sweet! A Cayman core with "only" 512 shaders, max power draw of 75W, single slot, small card. You could make the perfect HTPC with that card!
This ad is pretty good, hit them, and hit them hard!
@Dorisequador lol acer is lame, ULTIMATE IDEA: build your own damn pc so you can either game like a pro at max settings, or render/edit like a pro in no time for a much lower budget than retail pc's and you get a clean install of windows, none of that bloatware shit that slows down an already slow boxed pc like dell/hp
@psychoclown420 Dude i bought 3 years ago a Acer 18.4 inch with a Dual CPU 4 gigs of ram and a 240GT which i play todays games smooth as pie at all setting high and i play on my 60 inch sharp quatron TV it's awsome just awsome.
ACER is rated as most trouble free and top of the line on a bussiness level and most sold.
But this was 2 years ago when i got mine earlier than that when top of the line from them was being put out on the market.
Unfortunately.... this is so much crap, im sorry to say this but i dont think a normal user would care about power consumption when buying a professional graphic card like this..... Also, the Quadro cards are WAY faster then these firepro crap.
i dont like this at all thumbs down bcuz it fuels the fanboyz with stupidity NO i have amd procesor with nvidia graphics whats the problem darn fanboy sht
haha i love amd they make powerful cards with good price but in this video its clearly the other guys are nvidia for the green lights and for the overheating that burned the computer so humor
Funny how people talk about how great PhysX is when bullet runs just fine on AMD because it doesn't require any special hardware to be accelerated by the GPU. How many games do you own that require a PhysX enabled GPU? compare that to the number of games that use Havok 2010 and Bullet and you'll see what I'm talking about. There's a reason AMD doesn't have a PPU. They don't need one because their GPU's will run open physics SDK's
Right now I'm still prefer Nvidia, but if AMD offers some more features, technologies, and software supports to compete with Nvidia... I might change my mind.
@dolph123454321 of what? how fast the nVidia card overheats and then artifacts causing a BSOD and you have to reboot in safe mode to remove and re-install the corrupted drivers?
Yeah the nVidia card would win that competition all by itself.
@lordfirefox That only goes for the 400 series of cards. I've got a 480 and it hasn't overheated yet. In fact my old 4890 has given me more heat problems. The 6000 series of AMD cards do get a lot hotter than Nvidia 500 series. I like both company's equally, so no hating :/
@UPSLynx Actually it is not, its a waste of money yes, but i have a nvidia quadro fx 1700 512mb graphics card and it can play most new games pretty well. I did not pay for it came from my dads work because of them getting better cards.
I like both AMD, and Nvidia. AMD depending on your needs, can have a better price point, which is very nice, but AMD still needs to work on his drivers, as Nvidia has really awesome easy to use, and install drivers that just work better.

Bad idea: Using a powerstrip to for just one plug.

@renkinjutsu01
why you say that? i'm guessing you don't know what powerstrips do other then let more to be plugged in
Zraupp10 9 months ago
@Zraupp10 I understand they can act as surge protectors and whatnot, but power strips also drain energy
renkinjutsu01 9 months ago

Every nVidia card I've owned so far is a complete fail.
From FX5800's that caught fire to 6, 8 and 9 series and even GT200 series cards that artifact.
FAIL.
