He is so ADHD with his boredom here. It's obvious the man cannot hold attention and gets annoyed easily with things that do not interest him. Still, I like watching David play around here. A 3 dimensional person is much more interesting than 1 dimension...
You know.. when he said if he ever were to stop doing music that'd he'd die a little everyday..... Kinda makes you wonder if he's writing new things still at home in his free time, just to fill the void in his life of not being on tour or producing every few months. It's a happy thought, that is. :)
I love this interview! I think it's refreshing to see David not trying to be the gentleman and just saying (or rather not saying) what he feels like. And I love the death stare he gives her at 2:14, hilarious! I feel bad for Gabrels, it's like he's not even there...but I suppose that alone encompasses the whole Tin Machine period. Thanks for posting! =D
He just didn't seem to be in a mood to talk about himself much. I thought it was a very cute interview though. Enjoyed his knee drumming. I like to see him relax and just be him.
i dont think its the questions ,its the im an intelligent interviewer trying so hard not to ask you tp make my life worthwhile..no thats not it its....
Paula knew David Bowie very well. He was part of the 80's set that she and husband of the time Bob Geldof knew. He was involved in both Band Aid and Live Aid. They were old friends.
I don't think he's on anything... probably just bored. I've seen a photo of him hugging her from about 1985 so I think he thought she was o.k. really,
Oh dear! I've never seen him like that before... but then the interviewer was a bit repetitive! I LOVE that look he gives her at 2:13 lol! Adorable, thanks for sharing :D
Yeah, I think I can count about 4 interviews I've seen where he seems a little bit moody. That's not bad going considering the hundereds he's done. He's usually very polite. :)
lol. Yeah that's what I thought. I've seen a few interviews where he's a bit short with the interviewer. I guess he gets a bit fed up with the same questions. Interviewers say he's really fascinating to talk to but you have to be on your mettle.
3:30 So why did you David? I don't want you do die at all, much less piece by piece. ;(

This epitomises the nineties. Started badly and went downhill from there.

Bowie has got the cocaine voice here at this time. He probably can't wait to get over the interview so he can get back to imbibing.

Yes it seemed that way. I thought she was very calm around him even though he was playing up. ;)

And she's right, he was chilly.

i'm thinking his dose is running out ..and that would account for his mild irritation and curtness
