It's a shame that AMD and Nvidia have stopped making demo's to show off how close to photrealism they can get and have instead shown off tessellation and physx in bland demos. I would love to see an update of the Human Head demo with hair.
However i do NOT think that software developers go anywhere NEAR the full potential of any GeForce card before it is superseded by the next. Year ago you had a chipset with limitations, no limitations imposed upon you were so severe that software developers had to find new tricks, better and far more optimized programming techniques..etc. Now all the power in the world is afforded to developers but none know like the old school developers how to milk the chipset dry!!
@Cobac what are you talking about??? i was saying that the series isnt called ATI longer its AMD.... jesus. but 4890 is getting old, no dx 11. and a slow gpu. and it dosent run metro 2033 on max. so not every game ;-)
No it doesn't, since it can't play DX11 games so not even close to maxing out every game. It's old, it's ancient, it's slow in modern games get over it move on
@2yearlimitedwarranty dx11 isnt a graphic multiplier by quality but a rendering method so all it does it helps you have more fps and smoother shadows ( wich is done bny the rendering methid )

I think the original gf and gf3 were the most important. fx was a huge let-down.
