@lbm323 A lot of the old Harleys still have point and condenser ignitions. They are a pain to get perfect. And like VoodooShovel73 said, it was cold. that makes a difference. If you have everything tuned to a gnats-ass, good plugs with a fat, hot spark, a carburetor with an accelerator pump (some older ones didn't have them) you give it a good kick or two with the ignition off to prime it, key on the ignition and it shouldn't take too many kicks to get her fired up. You got to kick them HARD too

I got the same set of pipes for my 79 Shovel Superglide, They are loud, neighbors don't like'm, I do. Whatta heck. Anyway I like that rear fender of yours, I just cutt off a piece of my stock fender. Your fender is kinda cool . Anyway I paid $ 495,00 for the pipes, expensive but they do stand the ground.

Kurittaja, wtf do you kick start, a honda mr. 50...what you want to do is, turn fuel off, turn ignition off...kick three times, now turn fuel on, turn ignition on, give throttle one quick turn, should start with one kick...kick starting scholl is now over...dont thank me...pay me....dumb ass

jeepwrangler - I shouldn't even bother answering you but here goes.. I have a shovelhead. With kick only. It's a mans bike and if you are not careful, it will bust your knee. I guess you have no idea... And for me there are no "schools". There only nice bikes and ugly bikes.
