Just curious...are you wearing Julep anne on your nails? I just started the Julep Maven boxes, and that was one of my first colors. It looks like that color to me anyway lol. Actually its what is on my nails today!
I really like that maybeline instant age rewind & I really don't think I will ever be w/o it. I love it. I apply 1st let dry than I apply my under eye concealer than foundation & I use the Sigma F80 to blend it all in. I really didn't think I would like it & thought it was just hype (eye roll) but I was wrong.
Good to know about the Macadamia hair treatments. Now I know which I want to get when I purchase. Also good to know about that polish remover. I thought I was missing out. Great vid! XOXOSusan
I got the loreal balm in Nourishing Nude. I really liked the color and texture, problem is I taste nothing but sunscreen when I wear it. I tried it many times to like it, but I finally had to toss it. Too yucky.
Heidi ... I love the Sephora #45 classic mineral powder brush for $26 bucks. I believe it's the same concept as the Sigma brushes ... though I don't own any Sigma brushes. Just thought I'd let ya know! :)
Great video Heidi....love the sound of the hair masque. I can't stand the smell/taste of any loreal lip products...and I noticed Lancome is the same! Realised then they are parent companies!! Hope your year has started well x
I love my Nars bronzer brush Heidi. Its expensive, but bronzers seem to work better with natural hair bristles verses the soft synthetic type. Sigma hasn't made anything like it, yet! Cos you know they probably will with time. I never tried the babylips...when I saw them in the store I thought they were little balms for kidlettes....will try them now tho. xo :)
@dawnten I thought the same about the baby lips - thought I'd get it for Madi. Turns out it's a nice balm. I'll have to check out the nars brush. I don't mind paying for good brushes. They're an investment but last a long time if you care for them well.
haaha...love how the hand swatch was held just long enough for the completion of the drink..so cute...lol. i have to agree on the weight loss...i knew there was something different, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. you look gorg!!!
the cap vert looks like a really good idea for quickness with contouring! do you think it would work on someone really fair? I'm a bit paler than you are so I was curious how dark it was on you :)
I just bought the balm in the same color before I seen this and I totally agree its just ok It was really really really sheer on me I also prefer lip butters and the baby lips
I had a little bottle of the macadamia hair oil and unfortunately left the cap off...long story short, it was tipped over and I'll be cleaning the remains of that up forever. It works much better on the hair :) I just tried the Organix line hydrating macadamia oil shampoo/cond. and loved it. Very reasonable, and it made my hair so shiny.
I never heard of macademia.I have tried alot of things on my curly hair and only a few things actually work really good.Where do you go to get a sample of Macademia deep treatment at?
Heidi, I use the Sigma F84 with the Bronze Universal and it is the perfect brush! I think the F82 would work well, too, but I use that one as my main foundation brush. No loose hairs and these brushes apply the product (like any cream or liquid) perfectly.
@Suselew I've been using the f84 for foundation and love it. I was planning to use the f82 for the chanel. I used the f80 yesterday and it worked well too.
I love love that macadamia deep hair masque it's phenomenal for me almost done a tub of it, did a masque last night and left it or a few hours, the oil didn't do much for me so I add it to some shampoos sometimes in the shower while I wash, but th masque is unreal will keep repurchasing that product!!:)))
I used straight acetone over Christmas. I was at my parents and they didn't have nail polish remover. My dad did have acetone in a can in his workshop though. It worked SUPER good. It also evaporates really quickly, so I don't think it's on your nails/skin that long, kind of like rubbing alcohol. Anyway, my nails/fingers survived just fine, but I wouldn't use it on the daily.
Hi Heidi, great faves. Wow that Mac 150 looks amazing. I got the smaller version. It's ok. Love the maybelline concealers. I have the neutralizer the concealer and the brightener. Love them. I am tempted to pick up the foundation. Have you tried it?. I saw these macadamia nut hair stuff at my winners in Canada which is like tj max, I wasn't sure. I will definitely have to give it a try. I have the same color in the loreal balm. I really like the revlon lip butters so much better. Great video t
For the Chanel Bronze Universal, I use the Mac 130 to stipple it on and then the Mac 109 to blend it out. It does take a little longer to put on, but it just looks so pretty!!
I was not impressed with the Loreal LeBalms either. For a tinted balm-type product I like my Clinique Chubby Stick. Unfortunately, I only like the Strawberry shade. I wish there was a better shade range in those.
@jalapena2007 Yep, that's the one. Today I tried using my Coco Beau brush. I'm going to play with it a little more - but it does work great for contouring with the bronzer.
If you are looking for a replacement for the Mac 109, I highly recommend the Sephora I.T. Face Contour Brush. It doesnt shed, its soft and works amazing with the bronze universal and alike.
Hi Heidi, The real techniques contour brush is supposed to be good with the bronze universal. Nichola on pixiwoo uses it! Let me know if you find a good brush for it. The bronze universal has been on my wish list for a while now but the chanel counters over here (ireland) never seem to have it in stock. Boo :-(
I had the same problem w/ brushes for bronze universal. The real techniques buffer brush (orange handle) works GREAT, no shedding and great size. Hope that helps!! :-)

It was so nice to be able to sit & watch one of your videos all the way through. I have really missed you!
A comment on finding a brush for using with Chanel Makeup Base (Bronze Universal). I absolutely swear by the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. It has never shed, it picks up just the right amount of product & is really easy to blend with. You guys in the US can buy the brush for at pittance at Ulta.
I hope you are over your cold very soon & feeling better.
I can't do Mac Lipglasses either. I've dwindled down my stash to less than 6 and I'm using those up and b2m them. I'm pretty much over Mac glosses. Period. ;)
I am going to try the other polish that came in the box but if it is anything like the other one I will have to cancel the subscription. I would rather drive to ulta and pick up 2 new bottles of OPI every month and know that the consistency will be spot on
@kimjorg I think every line of polish has their misses. If you call the company and tell them you got an old goopy one, I bet they'll send you a new one. They're really very nice.
I have a love/hate relationship with favorite videos. I love them but my bank account doesnt because it always encourages me to get more stuff that I really dont need lol. I did want to tell you that I painted my nails this morning with one of the bottles of nail polish that I got from my Julep box and I am SO disappointed! The formula of it was awful! It was super thick and almost dry (like a bottle of polish that you have had forever and its get that gross goopy consistency to it)
@kimjorg Exactly how I feel about youtube over all. Love it. Hate how much more I've spent since I discovered it. But I think I have much better products now because of it, so the money was well spent. I think. Which Julep polish did you hate? I got a bad one too. The rest were really good, so don't give up too soon.
cutex acetone vs non acetone...With non I have to rub it in, with acetone it is just a quick wipe! So, I use acetone so I don't have to push it into my fingers...and I always run to the sink and wash my hands right after too! ...we still don't have the lip butter in our area *cries*. I want to try it so bad! ...Macadamia! I just tried the Healing Oil Treatment. I can't handle the smell! smells like old man cologne to me >.<
@TheKyleeLane Very good point. The acetone version is just so much quicker. Where do you live? I don't mind the smell of the macadamia so much. I mean, I don't want a perfume that scent, but it's not as bad as some of the oils I've tried. Argan doesn't have a smell, you might like that one.
I am absolutely in love with the Amber Diamonds too...I have had it for so long and still in love. That means it is meant to be.lol Great video as always Heidi!! :) Kristin
the last couple of times I've taken of my polish since using non-acetone it's taken forever and it always dries out my finger tips. and now they're cracking. grr
I didn't think they still made those polish tubs with the sponge. lol
@kellybryan08 Yes, a natural mess, as I like to say. I'm really starting to think non acetone really is worse than the quicker stuff. They still make the tubs but they aren't good like they used to be.
I agree with you, I love the deep conditioning masque, works really great!!! I cracked up when you took out that sponge, glad to know you don't like it. OMG I don't like the Loreal lip things either!!! I am really glade I only purchased one also. Giving it too my sister
Hi Heidi! I have the flat Sigmax brush (F80 I believe) and it's amazing. it's my one and only Sigma brush and I love it. Also, a tip re: the MAC lipglass. I always wear a lipbalm underneath, I find that it helps prevent the sticky feeling and "lips stuck together" phenomenon (shudder). Of course it's an extra step but I can't bear those lipglasses on bare lips either and since lipstick + lipgloss is a bit much for me (i'm very colorshy), lip balm it is. Let me know if you try it! xoxo Claire
the sigmax brushes are great with the bronze universal. my favorites are the flat top and using the edges and the tapers blending brush for a sharper defined contour
@shimmering2light I used the flat top one yesterday again. I've tried it before but I was using it for foundation at the time and don't like to mix the products. But you're right, it works well!
well at least you said "mauve" the right way once! lol always great to see you heidi. i'm sorry your cough is hanging around. that is beyond annoying. when next i seek products for my mink-like tresses i'll definitely check out the macadamia products. heck, i like the nuts...;-D take care and hope to see you soon.
I SO agree about the sponge in the remover jar. I have the one from Sally Beauty...different brand, but same issue. It would make the biggest difference to make that sponge denser or something. You read my mind :)
Great video, Heidi! I really want to try that deep hair masque! Sounds really nice :) Thanks for sharing with us, hope you're enjoying the new year so far!
I know exactly what you mean about the polish remover sponge...Didn't the sponge used to be the consistency of like a pink hair roller sponge (ya know what I mean? LOL) more scratchy?
Heidi, you should try the real techniques brushes for the Chanel bronze universal. The core collection has 2 brushes that would both work great for $15.
I finally got my hands on the lip butters, and I agree with you about the packaging, definitely NOT the easiest to open. Do you find that the Cutex polish remover works well for glitter polish? I've been using a LOT of glitter this winter, and it's a pain in the butt to remove!
@ThePrincessKelli Yes, it works fine. But it works especially well if you use a piece of felt instead of cotton. Get a sheet at a craft store for under a quarter and cut it into pieces. I just cut a piece off each time I want one. Super cheap and crazy effective.
lol i know what you mean about trying to rinse your hands at the hotel and not feeling like it works. that happened to me at the holiday inn express over the holidays. i think it must be their water softener its weird.
@PelirrojaXO It's so good for your hair and skin though - doesn't dry you out like hard water. You just have to get used to styling your hair that way.
I like the lip butters, but you are the first one to mention how annoying they are to open! I hate that design. I have the same cough you do. Orange juice seems to help lubricate my throat. Oh I hate water softener at hotels. I feel like the soap never comes off! Boy what a negative commenter I am today. I love your videos! he hee :)
I have naturally curly hair and I was wondering if you might do a hair routine? from wet to products and whatnot. I am always intrigued to see how other people with curly hair use products and what they use on curly days. thank you!
Just curious...are you wearing Julep anne on your nails? I just started the Julep Maven boxes, and that was one of my first colors. It looks like that color to me anyway lol. Actually its what is on my nails today!

@kimjorg I think every line of polish has their misses. If you call the company and tell them you got an old goopy one, I bet they'll send you a new one. They're really very nice.
jalapena2007 1 month ago
I have a love/hate relationship with favorite videos. I love them but my bank account doesnt because it always encourages me to get more stuff that I really dont need lol. I did want to tell you that I painted my nails this morning with one of the bottles of nail polish that I got from my Julep box and I am SO disappointed! The formula of it was awful! It was super thick and almost dry (like a bottle of polish that you have had forever and its get that gross goopy consistency to it)
kimjorg 1 month ago

I can't handle the smell! smells like old man cologne to me >.<
TheKyleeLane 1 month ago
@TheKyleeLane Very good point. The acetone version is just so much quicker. Where do you live? I don't mind the smell of the macadamia so much. I mean, I don't want a perfume that scent, but it's not as bad as some of the oils I've tried. Argan doesn't have a smell, you might like that one.

I am absolutely in love with the Amber Diamonds too...I have had it for so long and still in love. That means it is meant to be.lol Great video as always Heidi!! :) Kristin

Is your hair naturally curly? LOVE your hair :^)
the last couple of times I've taken of my polish since using non-acetone it's taken forever and it always dries out my finger tips. and now they're cracking. grr
I didn't think they still made those polish tubs with the sponge. lol
kellybryan08 1 month ago
@kellybryan08 Yes, a natural mess, as I like to say. I'm really starting to think non acetone really is worse than the quicker stuff. They still make the tubs but they aren't good like they used to be.

I agree with you, I love the deep conditioning masque, works really great!!! I cracked up when you took out that sponge, glad to know you don't like it. OMG I don't like the Loreal lip things either!!! I am really glade I only purchased one also. Giving it too my sister

@msmom2one1 My mom would probably like it -- should give it to her. I just have her about 20 makeup bits recently and she was so excited. Haha!!

Let me know if you try it! xoxo Claire
TheClairelily 1 month ago
@TheClairelily Balm definitely helps under the lipglass. I can't wear them without it so it's definitely worth the extra step!

I completely agree with your funny description of the deep repair mask. Awesome stuff.

the sigmax brushes are great with the bronze universal. my favorites are the flat top and using the edges and the tapers blending brush for a sharper defined contour
shimmering2light 1 month ago
@shimmering2light I used the flat top one yesterday again. I've tried it before but I was using it for foundation at the time and don't like to mix the products. But you're right, it works well!

@northnailnut It feels so funny to say it that way, but saying it wrong ... well that's just wrong. LOL

I SO agree about the sponge in the remover jar. I have the one from Sally Beauty...different brand, but same issue. It would make the biggest difference to make that sponge denser or something. You read my mind :)

@bravegirldana They used to make them so much better. Don't know why they changed it. :S

I know exactly what you mean about the polish remover sponge...Didn't the sponge used to be the consistency of like a pink hair roller sponge (ya know what I mean? LOL) more scratchy?

Heidi, you should try the real techniques brushes for the Chanel bronze universal. The core collection has 2 brushes that would both work great for $15.

jalapena2007 1 month ago
I finally got my hands on the lip butters, and I agree with you about the packaging, definitely NOT the easiest to open. Do you find that the Cutex polish remover works well for glitter polish? I've been using a LOT of glitter this winter, and it's a pain in the butt to remove!
ThePrincessKelli 1 month ago
@ThePrincessKelli Yes, it works fine. But it works especially well if you use a piece of felt instead of cotton. Get a sheet at a craft store for under a quarter and cut it into pieces. I just cut a piece off each time I want one. Super cheap and crazy effective.
jalapena2007 1 month ago
Hmm. Does the hair mask have silica ?
veronika138 1 month ago

lol i know what you mean about trying to rinse your hands at the hotel and not feeling like it works. that happened to me at the holiday inn express over the holidays. i think it must be their water softener its weird.
PelirrojaXO 1 month ago
@PelirrojaXO It's so good for your hair and skin though - doesn't dry you out like hard water. You just have to get used to styling your hair that way.

I like the lip butters, but you are the first one to mention how annoying they are to open! I hate that design. I have the same cough you do. Orange juice seems to help lubricate my throat. Oh I hate water softener at hotels. I feel like the soap never comes off! Boy what a negative commenter I am today. I love your videos! he hee :)

@sj531 They could have made them easier to open. Oh well. The cough just won't go away. Bugger!
