I first listened to Iron Maiden when I was 12 or 13 years old, some kids from my shool showed it to me but I never liked it, I was more into grunge/punk music.

Now, 10 years later, I got to hear Paul's songs, and its fricking awesome! (not all songs, this one particulary kickass). I still don't like Dickinson's and Blaze music, but at least now I like some Iron Maiden songs :P

Amazing vid! Steve Harris has been kicking major ass for decades and there's no end in sight. I love how raw they sounded back then. I love their new material as well, but I wish they'd put back more of the aggression they had. Not on all songs but a few for us old fans. I've been one since 1982 and never looked back.

That sounded pretty punky to me - I was there (one of the two nights anyway) if this is May 1980 (they played the Marquee a few times that year) Tygers of Pan Tang supported and they were terrible - they were throwing out their first single to everyone from the stage - in the end they were throwing them back at the band!

I remember one day rehearsing at Allan Gordon's in Leytonstone there was an almighty racket in the next room - it was this lot

Paul Di Anno. What a great voice. Full of character and charisma. He burnt brightly, but for a short time. I think he believed his own hype too much. Was too wild for Steve. However, they made the best music of each other's entire careers when they wrote together. Great edge to it, very fast, very charasmatic. Spine-tingling stuff.
