  • Got mine in the mail today, within the before stated days (1 to 8 days I got it within 7, altough this was the cheapest form of delivery, standard post) and I have to say I am in love with it! just to let other potential custommers know: It is worth the wait, it is worth the money and it is deserving of overall apreciation! samuraiswordshop now has my everlasting respect and a new regular custommer!

    "Domo arigatou gozaimasu!"

  • Thnx vd feedback :)

  • 'K ga er mij een bestellen binnenkort hoelang is de leveringstermijn op dit zwaard als 't naar Stekene (regio Waasland), Oost-Vlaanderen moet komen?

  • @GOLDvlaminck 24h :)

  • The steel used by japan to make swords is not jewel steel ! It's iron sand and really poor material to make swords out of. Why do people think it's some special steel? Its not at all ideal for making a sword out of but it's what they had. They fold it in order to homogenize the steel and rid the steel of impurities and no other reason. Modern mono steel such as T10,L6,5160 are all better to make a sword out of.

  • Yeah definately going for the practical plus.

  • is this sword got two pegs or one peg ??? pleas respond asap .Thanks

  • two

  • Fantastic sword. I have had two of them...one katana and one ninja sword. I found them to be very good entry level blades. With hard cutting the blade will bend and not flex. This is above normal types of cutting.

  • seems odd to rest it on the blade

  • a realy good katana normally runs about 200 to 400 hundred dollars a piece of shit ktana runs you about 10 to 199 dollars

  • this costs $170 and theres nothing wrong with it. A really good katana runs $1000 to $3000.

  • No, really good Katanas, handmade of Tamahagane (jewel steel) costs over 10.000 Dollars xD

  • no those are excellent katanas. I'm talking about really good katanas.

(I've seen tamahagane katanas for $3000 before...)

  • Yeah, the mass production swords from Hanwei or WKC, like the Paul Chen Paper Crane. Good swords no question! But a individual sword from a traditional japanese swordsmith costs over 10.000 Dollar.

I personally own the Paul Chen Practical Plus Katana, it's a nice sword, with a carbon steel blade. I'm happy with it, for arround 300 Dollars one of the best.

  • my stepfather had a katana from somewhere between 1400a.d. and 1600a.d. restored for 20,000US

  • That must be the Muromachi period. Well, If that is true, than your stepfather is really lucky. Old traditionally katanas are the most beautiful swords ever made.

  • yeah it really is beautiful its heavier than most modern swords though

  • That's the problem these days. We're all used to the modern made swords but most of the times they don't even come close to the ancient pieces...

  • @SamuraiSwordShop
