Wow... i am a lyricist, i dont know how to play the keyboard - but would like to learn so i can be a full-blown songwriter. Came across you, and i was blown away by how easy it seems! So easy i thought, i went ahead and got myself a keyboard. I'm going to follow this first lesson today, and perhaps 2nd too - will let you know how it goes :)
What an innovative idea of teaching chords. You start with CFG, DEA and then to
B. Your explanations about major, minor, augmented and diminished is easy to understand..major to augmented and minor to diminished. If you teach only a few people at home, some hundreds in instituion but you can teach millions and millions thorugh your podcast. May God bless you with good health, happy and properous life.
This is the best piano lesson I've checked out so far; it's so easy to understand for a guitar player like me. I could probably figure it out, but why go thru all that bullshit when you explain everything so excellently, haha? Thanks a lot, bro.
This was without a doubt the most helpful video I've viewed on YouTube in a long time, thank you so much for taking the time to create this series, its been truly invaluable in helping me understand these concepts.
You are simply stupendous! Amazing lesson. So precise and lucid,i think i will stop attending my own private lessons and continue with you. Thank you so much, sir!
thank you so much for posting this video..we have an electric organ and a piano in our house but no one in our family knows how to play it. Ive been wanting to learn how to play it but I found it so hard to do. Now you make it look so easy to learn. tnx a lot...

C major n C is the same??
lccnoob 3 years ago
Yes.
When you see a letter of a chord by itself, it is a Major chord.
For example, D would be a D Major chord, and Eb would be Eb Major.

how do u flat something?
docparider88 2 years ago

ie. Go 1/2 step down

tnx for the help...but im curious...when i see someone play the other hand/ left hand is also dong some keys..what are those? and how do u play them?
stefti1 3 years ago
The left hand can play many different things. Examples are the notes that make up the chord, notes from various scales, and much more.
go to my website for more information.
Thanks

These are great, I'm have a hard time, considering I'm trying to teach myself, but you're a really great help! Thanks!
Otaku40 3 years ago
I'm glad to make things easier to understand for you.
Thanks.
cwmsinc 3 years ago
Thanks for the lesson. And one more thing whats more important learning the notes first or learing the chords first.
UchihaClan07 3 years ago
Glad you are enjoying the lessons.
The notes are easy to learn, but can be more difficult to remember.
Learning the chords allows you an easier way to learn the notes and remember them.
Learning chords gives you some experience.
"The things you remember in life are from experience."
Thanks again.

nice one but u wud ave used a particular fingering pattern. cos i'm still learning d fingering. Thanks.
Nnaedu 4 years ago
If you take traditional piano lessons, the fingering for the chords is 1-3-5 (ie. thumb, middle, and little fingers).
However, what is important is that you use what is comfortable. This will especially come to play in future lessons.
