  • doing full dragonflags is more hardcore than 130kg benchpresses imo. im just getting starting with dragonflags. i used to think hanging leg raises were hard, these are just insane :O

  • Great form!

  • So, this is a prime exercise if i wanna train for Human Flagpole right?

  • great form..i was wondering, how do you add the twist?

i can do full dragon flags and tried adding the twist for fun and found myself unable to as one of my shoulders lifted off the ground..

    is that supposed to happen?

  • this is the hardest ab exercise out there. I do 3 sets of 10 but my first set I bend my knees it is easier and it warms up the muscles. good luck to the people that try it out

  • good for both upper abs and lower or ???

  • Excellent work!

  • Almost perfect! Nice job!!!

  • this looks like it would kill your back.. does it?

  • Best fucking exercise. It can be hell on your grip too.

  • some dumb people have tryed to re-name this move ROCKEY SIT UPS or something stupid like that lol everyone know bruce lee made it up its even in wiki plus in his photo infact you kinda held a perfect possition kinda like the dragon fly in one of bruce lees photos.

looks good bro keep it up

  • Great exercise man......I saw someone did it with a stability ball against the wall.

  • lol bruce lee made this training mehtod

  • @fullmetal610 Bruce Lee didn't invent it. The original name of the excercise is body lever, which Bruce incorporated into his workouts and made popular. People started calling them dragon flags because the word was recurring in Bruce's movie titles. All due respect to Bruce Lee, but also to whoever originally came up with this excercise.

  • @fullmetal610 At first I thought you were joking, but he actually did!

  • holy shit.

  • hmm do u pul up on ur muscless

  • What is this for? abs?

  • It's great for your abs, as well as the rest of your core. You'll also feel it in your upper back, arms, and shoulders. Adding a twist really overloads the obliques!

  • I've did dynamic workouts like hanging leg raises and static like L-format wide grip pull ups. I tried these at the gym the other day. They didn't go over very well. this video was a bit helpful. I can do thousands of crunches. I got pretty shredded abs. I'm looking to get to the next level. Well under 10% body fat. Anyone with advise, pm me please. I found i could keep my lower back from touching up and tell i get down. If i keep them straight out, I'm good. Anything after 90 degrees i'm off.

  • @Jamestown0101 Since this post is about a year old you probably have already reached you goal. What I have been doing is going up and then doing negatives letting my legs drop as slowly as possible until I can hold it any longer. Its a good way to build up to the raising motion of the exercise. One thing is for sure it's one hell of a workout for the abs!

  • so quiet in there... they should really invest in a radio or something

  • i should mention...This was one of bruce lee's favorite exercises, he pulled his back once morning cause he didnt stretch or warmup....so when doing this STRETCH & WARM-UP ^_^

  • Your abs must make a washboard look like a chalkboard. Holy shit.

  • good stuff.

  • thumbs up man.....impressive esp such a challenging ab/core workout for your age

  • It really is! I learned how to do it by reading about it in Muscle Fitness a few years back- It made me wish I had some gymnastics when I was younger....!

  • cool bro!i'm 23 and fit enough and this remains one of the most challenging core movements..

  • hmm not the hardest, humanflags, frontlevers, etc etc

  • thats impressive at any age

  • CATAFO why don't you post us a video doing 4 or 5 of these? Yeah that's right go crawl into your hole.

  • yeah thats not a full flag

your torso/hips have to remain in a straight line the entire movement and he caves at the top of every rep.

  • lets see yours when you turn 52

  • hey I'm impressed by the feat. But since its a tutorial or whatever it seems like you should mention that the torso should remain as straight as possible to the legs. I know how hard it is especially with age because of the shearing pressure on the back

I actually only learned how to do these and succeeded 2 days ago with months of training, believe me I appreciate how difficult the movement is

  • 52?! Thats impressive!

  • gettin old...

  • Yes... we all are, including you! But I'm not going to act it! My dad turns 100 this year- a great goal for anyone to achieve, and he's still smart and spry! Good luck to you..

  • hes just hating bro, dont worry about it. thats really impressive at your age, keep it up.

  • screw it man, that's impressive at any age!

  • sehr beeindruckend, sehr gute Körperspannung, wird aber im Vergleich zum ersten Mal ein wenig unsauberer^^

  • i am not worthy, i am not worthy!

  • Excellent. Slow and controlled.

Saw your negative video to this.

  • Holy crap
