Well, you must have gotten used to the Bosendofer at least a little, since this sounds great. As usual you manage to extract maximal musicality from each note.
Can you play the Graveyard theme from Endless Ocean? Endless Ocean music, and the game itself, is very underrated, and I would love to hear you play it.
@SELG88 my fingers actually keep getting worse. making videos has become a question of whether a piece means so much to me that i'm willing to go through weeks of pointless practice and hours of senselessly botched attempts. so let's see, but thanks for your support, i appreciate it.
I thought you were freaking rich or something to own a Bossendorfer until I read the description.Lol. They say that a Bossendorfer has a darker tone than most pianos, what do you think about the sound? I felt it's tone as mellow and gloomy compared to a steinway.Must I comment on the playing.Anyways awesome as usual Mr verdegrand.
@kaputasri thanks, and yeah this isn't mine of course, i just asked some people. even if i could own such an instrument, i would need a huge house first with a gigantic room to put this in... as for the darker sound, i am not certain. i haven't played on enough steinways to be able to make a proper comparison, although i must say that especially the lower register notes sound considerably more powerful than on any other grand i've playedon , so that could explain a "dark" feel.
oops...I forgot to add that I like the Verdegrand signature ending with the hands on this one, :) It's unique and it allows the listener to respect the ending. Nice, V. :)
@hassanemailz1 thanks, and of course they are important, they were the reason why i came to this grand in the first place, you'll see in my next video :]
Boesendorfer....so you found one! I knew you could, what a beautiful sound. I'm excited for you that you were able to have this experience with such a majestic instrument. Awesome playing as usual and even though I don't know much of KH, this piece has already begun to grow on me. 5 stars, man.
@VirtualHarmonies thanks man. yeah this instrument is special. you should definitely check out more kh music, some really beautiful pieces in those soundtracks.
Wow it sounds amazing on the boesendorfer! I always thought the lower extra keys where inverted where what would be the white keys are black, and the sharp/flat keys would be white. But i guess not :P
@Spacemanspiffe yeah i thought that too, i actually remember seing a piano that has the black keys inverted to white at the bottom, but it seems the boesendorfer doesn't do that. i think some harpsichords do that.
@CleverDjembe i asked some people who knew people, this was recorded in a concert hall. probably won't be able to repeat this anytime soon, but hey i can try to ask again sometime.
@JezzAngel thank you. and yeah it's kinda strange to say this but this instrument had something like an aura that was special to me, i also never saw a bigger grand and just walking by it was unusual lol
@SammieeSaysRawrr I can't be bothered counting keys, and it may not be, but I do know that there are some pianos with extra keys in the lower register, and they are coloured black as not to confuse people playing a regular 88 key piece. Some of them also have a seperate cover over the extra keys.
@SammieeSaysRawrr this piano my friend is an imposing bosendorfer 'imperial' grand, which has an additional 9 keys in the bass! these were originally made by special commission from busoni (the great transcriber of bach's literature to piano) and player, so that he could, indeed, play a particular piece by bach (originally written for the organ) which went lower in register than the standard piano. the extra bass keys produce a very powerful and ominous sound indeed when played!!!
@SammieeSaysRawrr yeah as the other commenters said, this boesendorfer has some additional keys below the regular keyboard, and those allow for playing some specific classical pieces that would need those keys.
holy katz! way to go and thanks for sharing. yeah those bosies are great. if you ever get a chance to play on an Estonia concert grand (post Dr. Laul) or a Shigeru Kawai, don't miss it you're in for a treat, these three are among the best instruments in the world a joy to sit down with. you produce some very nice colors here. look forward to more.
@cem1891 i have never heard of those grands, nor have i heard recordings on them. i am really surprised as to how many special instruments there are, so far i was under the impression that steinway is the end-all and be-all, but the high end seems to be taken by different instruments, it seems. anyway, i came to the boesendorfer for the keys that are below the normal keys, not for the instrument itself. but now that you mention those other grands, i'll keep looking. thanks
@Lukkysama there will be one more video that has that combination :) after that it's back to the usual setup. but i might try to record on a steinway sometime soon, so that should end up being a similar experience for me.
@Futarimataaerunara don't take my word for gold or something lol, i was just stating my personal impression. if you have a good steinway then that will have its merits too. just try out a boesendorfer yourself to see if you can feel any differences
Awesomeness now come with 3D! (Though useless LOL)

SammieeSaysRawrr 2 months ago 35
@SammieeSaysRawrr It's a Boesendorfer, a piano that includes 9 extra keys, which are marked black.

@SammieeSaysRawrr Because Bösendorfer concert grand has extra lower keys =]
Yondaime4488 2 months ago
