It's about fucking time that they decided that! It's so true, sexual orientation is not a choice, you're born with it. And you should embrace it! There is absolutely nothing wrong with loving who you are attracted to! Love is love, man. Simple as that. I was raised to tolerate all people, and I try my very best to do so. My aunt is gay, I have been around the gay community and I love them all. x) People should learn to chill the hell out. It's not evil, it's called love.

With its emphasis on psychology and cause and effect, Buddhism judges acts, including sexual acts, primarily by the intention (cetana) behind them and the effect they have. A sexual act motivated by love, mutuality and the desire to give and share would be judged positive no matter what the gender of the two persons involved. Therefore, homosexuality as such is not considered immoral in Buddhism.

I was raised in a strict Christian house and have always been taught that being gay is wrong. But I didn't understand how some people who were supposedly loving Christians could have so much hatred toward gay people. My motto: you do what you do, I'll do what I do. People should just accept eachother for who they are. If you can befriend someone of a different race or religion, why can't you befriend someone of a different sexual orientation.

Sometimes, in order to witness, you need to befriend someone. Jesus was friends with sinners. He witnessed by being kind and compassionate. @BikersFromIreland, i'm not homosexual, i just don't have a problem with homosexuals. the thing is you can't actually be sure you're saving their life. there are loads of other religions that are all saying the same thing. and you contradicted yourself a bit there, you said it is up to the individual, now you are saying you have a right to make assertions. and telling them that homosexuality is wrong will actuactually make them more likely to kill themselves.
