i'd prefer to play the N64 Pilotwings version which to me seems like a direct port of this game just with upgraded graphics. And the birdman in the N64 version was really fun to play around with
you really don't need to remove the save data to return to the start up screens, just turn off the console from the game instead of returning to the wii menu from the menu. That way there is no quicksave, the game will have saved from the last save point and it starts again as if you just booted it up on the SNES, simple.

Actually, if you want to erase "savestate" style data on a VC game, just turn the Wii off in the middle of the game, that is, without using the "go back to Wii Menu" option. Or at least that's how it works for me in other Wii games. Maybe I'm wrong, but it might be worth a shot to try if you don't want to go to the trouble of erasing your memory.

Yup, my kid brother is hooked on it. I hope NA gets it soon :)
And I hope they don't bollocks up the Wii version when it finally rears its ugly head, but I have a strong feeling that it'll be awful :(

It's not a port really just a very basic upgrade, lol.
I tried the 64 one though and hated it, I'd give it another go on the VC, but I remember hating it when I tried it.
