well she wrote that she's still working on it.. soo it will get better... just remember the concept of the piece, even though it is an impressionistic piece and seem very chaotic water is a pure substance, maybe you think about it and include it to your interpretation and technics. *thumbsup*
Ahh you play all the pieces I want to play but am not quite good enough to. This and the Chopin scherzo have got to be two of the best piano pieces ever.
Beautiful job! Wow, you are so young. It was probably only nerves that made you stumble in some places (you do look a little stressed), but good job on keeping your cool! I'm working on this right now and I have a HUGE problem of stage fright getting into my arms. Your musicality is beautiful.
ploc ploc ploc... that's not bad at all !!! it's a difficult piece... and you play it well. there are moments of very beautiful inspiration... just avoid the "Prokofiev" touch sometimes by relaxing your arms, its works a lot on the quality of the sound (the different aspects of water), read and practice Gieseking's method on that (natural fall of the arm) it's good. but on the whole it's very good and we hear all the notes... by now you must play it very well. That was music indeed !
@aicha345 ahahahahahhahahahhahhahahaahaha dats funny cuz i dont see this piece on ur channel? mabye u should play it and show us how its done oh masterly one...
I would be interested to hear how this sounds after you have been sitting more with the piece, but a great 1st performance I am too working on this piece and it's good to hear other interpretations- as well as difficulties that we share along the way, I have problems in the exact same spots you did at the time of this performance.

Pitiful performance. It is no use playing pieces for which you are not good enough. In front of an audience? Put it on youtube? You are not doing yourself a favour that way.
Maybe she put it on youtube so she can get constructive feedback from skilled pianists like you, who is OBVIOUSLY a virtuoso by your understanding and appreciation of music. Why don't you make a video response to show us how AMAZINGLY WELL you can play it?
Nice idea but alas, it's never going to happen. The ones with the biggest mouths and strongest opinions never respond to that sort of suggestion because at the end of the day, such people are usually uncreative.
Be quiet, you haven't posted your interpretation of this piece. I feel sorry for you, you must have a miserable life if you feel the need to go around bashing people's performances. And by the way, no, I haven't posted my interpretation of this, I'm not capable of playing it, I'm just a fourteen year old who knows right from wrong.
Maybe you just can't find life in it. She can play it however fast or slow she wants to, it's called interpretation. Go grow up before you make another comment on someone else's video, or better yet, go back to watching porn websites, and don't come back.
You have strong fingers, and that definitely helps with a piece like Jeux d'Eau. If you keep improving on the piece with those tools, you'll eventually sound like Richter. Every note correct, and such.
I think a good next step would be to listen to some French-style recordings by Friedman or Rubenstein to see their interpretations.
I think you have a great talent! But maybe you should give some more emphasys/intepretation in some part of this piece (for example approximately around min 03:00).
I like your impression of the piece. Ocf technically it contains some flaws, but that doesn't matter as long as it grasps the ones who listen to it. Nice work
It still needs a lot of work indeed, but I liked your feeling for colours. It may help you a lot if you try to play it more in one tempo, without too much tempo fluctuations, and I think it is also more in the style of Ravel to do so.
The beginning is too slow, but other passages are just too fast, and then you loose clarity.
The pause at 3:42, is too long, at 4:50 too short...
Holy... crap... SO GOOD :) I play piano too, except I'm only 13, I'm going to tackle this piece but because I really love it!

Hey, really not a bad performance. It should be faster and the dynamics are sometimes a little bit the same. But you played it alright.

If you want to play Ravel it has to be perfect, or it will be a disaster.

Does anyone suppose this may ever be done on guitar in an alternative tuning? ,,, with certain resonance. I don't wanna bastardize.

...Btw, the guy that is whining about your dress in an idiot, it's perfect (and BLUE is the right colour for "Jeux d'eau")
Maybe you can correct the typing error in the title? You will attract more viewers.

i like your dress. the color looks pretty on you. you should wear a shorter one next time and maybe make it red.
