  • Dang. It seems like the skater that stayed the most consistent was Reynolds. A lot of the skaters in this vid who were great back then, are now...taking it easy or disappeared. Reynolds just keeps getting better and better.

  • Tony Hawks Underground FTW!!!!

  • man is just to much epic in one building :D

I can't belive Andrew has the same style to this day.

  • Look how much cooler skating was

  • @dubified89

    so true... so god-damn true!

cuz, that shit was amazing to see then & (most) sk8rs jus don't have that, holy shit factor anymore!

cuz when ronnie creager switch hardflip to late flipping the pyramid!

that shit was one of those oh my gawd sk8 moments!

did you see that shit, & if not we'd see it at the beginning (in slo-mo) of the new 411 video-mag.

but now- muthafuckers are like, yeah I did that shit in a line, blindfolded + Creager was wack too cuz he didn't do rails in his parts.

  • @dj6cents

my point below is... sk8ing back then, was soo much more appreciated than now.

we'd get our heads blown off if we saw Malto, Mike Mo, Shane O'neil etc...

cuz they do shit w/out trying, (1st try)... that sk8ers would get the cover of a mag for back then.

It's just now, people expect it, but- back then... it was a treat!

  • this is amazing footage! thanks for putting this up. Reynolds, Koston, Carrol, Creager, Bam Margera when he wasn't rich, Gershon Mosley! Damn! gold.

  • I heard that Yelawolf skated in that years Tampa Am!

  • dammnn this brings back memories lol, the park has changed so much since thennn :P

  • I remember that contest. Reynolds and Creager killed it that day. I thought Creager was a wizard after seeing some of the shit he pulled off

  • @Darrin649 more like at his prime of drinking and drugs. now hes sober

  • Shark attack! shark attack coming through!

  • please tell what is the song that starts at Mike Vallely??? Sounds like the chorus goes something like "raised in the south", sounds like an awesome song, please tell me what it is.

P.S. 'Danny Montoya' is Marc Johnson!

  • HUGE thanks for putting this up! I always wanted to see more of the stuff reynolds pulled to win it that year, and the other year back to back. Damn backside flip pyramid to flat!?!?!?!?!? That was outta this world for that era, I remember TWS had a two page spread of the frontside flip as it was straight unheard of for the time. Reynolds truly has a gift at skating, so glad to see he overcame his demons and got clean to bless the skate world with his talents.

  • Reynolds' style used to be better.

  • yea pure old scool

  • hey man do you have the tampa 2000 video please

  • thanks for putting this up. I remember when Ronnie Creager's switch hard flip late kickflip was an opener for 411vm issue 28. good times
