Because someone else would have only been cast for the original two or three eps the character was originally scripted in before being killed by Buffy as written. James' protrayal of Spike was what won over the audiences in such a way that they kept clamoring for more and they elected to make him a bigger part of the series due to demand for MORE SPIKE! I, for one, STILL can't enough Blondie Bear! <3
@jsdnfjksdnfjk At most conventions they have Q&A sessions that you can get into for free. They usually have mics set up on the side of the stage and encourage fans to ask questions. Sometimes, if the actors a really big star though, you might have to pay a small fee to get into the Q&A but its usually free.
