i like how the town looks so alive and active.not like in other mmos where i just wanna get what i need and leave and npcs just stand there.npc's in gw2 are having conversations with the other npcs and i cant imagine how beautiful the town will look like when it snows.i can really see myself hangin in the town,and chatting with other players

@toshow1022 Not only that , but npc's will react if monsters atack an outpost or town , and they will aid you in combat . You can now revive npc's , not like in gw 1 that they often died . An npc's will remember if you aided in saving a town or how u defeated a certain difficult monster and offer you better deals on merchandise .

@Malinux it depends if you like mmorpg then yes get GW 2, if you don't like mmorpg then yes get GW 2. The main focus is for them to create "the" next mmo genre. Their adding Dynamic Event, Giant bosses, underwater exploration, action oriented, cross-profession (example) An Elementalist casting fire magic on the ground and a Warrior using whirling ax to create whirling fireball that shoots out fire balls from different directions. Their will be Bar Brawling, you can cast magic on the fly.

@Malinux If you found Gw1 interesting but didn't find it to be your game, you will most likely love Gw2 as it appeals to a different type of player whilst still giving the same magic as the first but with a much larger and immersive world. The game has innovative ideas that has to do with fixing the problems that other games had and filling the desires players had over the years.

And instead of being another game with just large damage and swinging, it actually has some strategy to it.

With rolls, cross-class combos, and wide usage of the environment I don't see how this looks like a hack and slash. It doesn't look by any stretch of the imagination mindless-- and also, don't think that just because content scales that it's not going to be challenging.

If anything, WoW is more mindless considering a normal rotation is 3-4 skills, the ocational 1 skill you pull of sparingly (i. e. bloodlust), and the "oh-shit" skill to get out of trouble.

Let's just hope for amazing end-game content, that is also something you really would WANT to do as a group. GW (1) lacks that IMO, a lot of content is very well playable with just you solo. It really does not encourage you to get anyone with you, which is sad IMO. I think this will be better than WoW in a lot of ways, but I have yet to see GW 2 get an end-game system that is as involving as WoW.

I am really looking forward to Guild Wars 2 :)

@IpieterI Last I checked WoW had a lot of solo content, too... the big difference is that this content is very communal by allowing others to join in at free will. If anything, it encourages people to join you even more, and allows you to meet others in ways WoW isn't able to.

They haven't said much about the end-game, but they did say they had dungeons and such traditional end-game content, and considering the awesomeness of the midgame content I have no reason to doubt the epicness of it.
