The 2011 392 with the manual has a top speed of 183mph, The automatic is around 178. Not bad. The new 2012 boss 302 mustang with 440Hp has a max top end speed of 155. I think the challenger guys could go through Dynotrac and get a different gear ratio for much quicker acceleration. I mean do you need to go 183 Mph

@jeepin123 it has a 3.92 gear in the diff with a six speed...what do you want them to do 4.10's? and its not because the gearing its because the computer pulls alot of timing between shifts handicapping the car for a second it would actually be much better with a lower gear to keep you in gear for longer and shifting less...it pulls up top because its in 4th gear from 90 to 135 and has a decent amount of time in a a gear...i guarantee if you guys do a 75 roll the challenger would have a few cars

I had NOTHING for the 392 up top(125+) I run out of gear. When the SRT pulls it is becuase its faster up top, no question. 1/4 I walked all over. As for the quality there from a friends iPhone.

@slowcharger How do you not have enough gear there both 6spds but your right i havent been in a mustang that could pull on top end besides my gt500.Nothing like a push rod for top end.

The 392 is what these cars needed from the beginning to compensate for the weight. The torque is monstrous.

@suppaman12 the person who posted the video says the challenger walks him up top everytime...what more do you want than a person with a 5.0 that raced a 392 and admitted that it was faster...the longer the race, the worse the 5.0 loses

@samsaleh22 ??? wtf are you talking about? he says he beats the 392 n the 1/4 and he runs out of gear after 125.... all i said was the 5.0 won this race. you can see it in the vid. can a 392 beat the 5.0 after 130 mph, perhaps but 1/4 miles they dont even reach 115 iirc

@suppaman12 i clearly stated that the manual version is much slower in the 1/4 bcz of computer issues...if this was a 60 to 130...challenger would destroy bcz it would only shift into 4th and only fall back a small amount once instead of three times and then catching up only to shift again...2012 5.0 is a very high 12 car good driver good conditions...auto 392s are 12.5 good run, 16 year old driver...the car is faster period...its like a 5.0 that cant shift and then saying a new camaro is faster
