This, for some reason, is one of my fave scratch routines...ever. Putting aside Mr Bastid's fake mullet and top half nakedness, the dude has an amazing ear for melody and syncopation. As a budding turntablist and DJ, I love his juggling and the taking of a fairly cheesy track and giving it awesomeness.

i generally just think anyone who manipulates records like that is more a turntablist, using the decks as an instrument, whereas a dj is more someone that uses them to mix tunes, obviously there is a lot of crossover as many do both, but i'd still say skratch bastid is more a turntablist

So like:

Heltah Skeltah = DJ
