@TheLadygaga2345 I'm not sure I can help you, but even if I were to try, I would need a lot more information. Have you installed any custom content recently? Have you done any updating to your computer that might be causing a conflict? It would be helpful to know if you've done anything new to your computer recently that might be causing the problem.

@papermasters28 By pushing the ctrl button, it automatically saves the position. Remember that to get to the camera position, you just press the number of the location you saved, not the ctrl button again.

You could just press ctrl+shift+c and open the cheat box. Type in boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true type it exactly like this. Then choose a family you want. Then Open the cheat box again and type in maxmotives if you want your motives full. Then either drag them or they will automaticly fill. For it to stay shift click your postbox and click make motives static. As for the diamong thing, shift click it and press force error a pop up will show and then press delete. NO MORE PLUMBOB! :)

@OmgItsValee Because there is a config file in one of the folders that you have to edit in order to be able to use smooth edges. The Machinima tips link has a whole section on how to change that file and how to check your video card settings so that you will be able to do it.

@OmgItsValee Did you check your video card settings to see if anti-aliasing is application controlled?  That has to be that way in order for it to work as well. If that still doesn't fix it, then I'm not sure what your other options are.

I also work with Gunmod's first camera, and i used fraps to film it (Then i zoom in with camtasia studio, so you cant see the menu etc.) but, when i want to film it is very choppy.. @GTAKID01 Not to my knowledge. You can try doing a google search and see what you come up with. I've always gotten people to do voiceovers for me anytime I've done something with the sims talking.

@TheAnjalah Backing up is just a safety measure should anything go wrong. Also, the tip I gave you for adjusting the pitch/tilt will work in live mode, build mode, and buy mode. I hope that helped. :)

@TheAnjalah To adjust the pitch/tilt, during live mode (in game), do the the ctrl+right click. It'll adjust the angle of the camera view. GunMod's camera mod is a download that you download into your Cameras folder (NOT downloads) to replace the Maxis defaults. (GunMod has also uploaded the Maxis defaults, so if you want to revert, you can download and replace.) Just search modthesims.info for GunMod, then search for the camera mod. It's completely free. Just remember to back up your game.

@TheAnjalah If you hit ctrl and hit your right mouse button, you should be able to adjust the pitch/tilt of your camera. Also, GunMod's camera mod at MTS2 helps a LOT.

@martha368 There is a cheat code, which I can't remember right now (because it's been so long since I've played the game) that you can insert into some of the code of the game (you just add some text to one of the files in one of the folders). With this cheat enabled you can drag those bars to full. Anyone out there remember what the cheat is? I don't have any of my notes with me at the moment to even be able to look it up for you. Sorry.

@martha368 boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true (or false to shut off) allows you to slide hunger, bladder, bars up and down with your mouse, keeps em fed and in good mood, or bad moods if ya need em that way instead. Changes relationships, etc, the "God Mode" of cheats. Movie making must in my opinion.

There's no link for fixing smooth edges. It's a setting within the control panel of the game. I explain it all in the video.

@amazingracer24 It's actually not a hack, it's an item. It's cloned from a plant, so you place it just like you would a hanging plant. Which means you have to place each tile individually. I always found it easiest to go to the 2nd floor and place them more like floor tiles.

@ILovesucksI Yes, I use Sony Vegas, and yes, you have to pay for it. I felt it was worth the money, so I had no problem buying it. It's a great editing program, and even though I'm not really making any sims movies at the moment, I still use it for other things. It's come in really handy.

I honestly haven't even picked the game up in over a year and a half now (since just before the birth of my daughter). I would have to reteach myself a lot of the tricks that I talk about in this video. I don't even know if the hacks that I used to use are still available. for some odd reason when I download the hacks at 5:30 I click open and when they're done downloading they try opening up as picture files. Can you help me with that? Do I click save? If I do, where do I save them?

You save them in My documents>Ea games>sims2>Downloads.

Then just extract the file by right clicked them and extract files then they'll be in your game :)

You place them individually. They were apparently made from a hanging plant mesh. But if you have Apartment Life you don't need to download the ceiling tiles. AL came with the capability of placing ceilings.

Ceiling fans didn't come with any expansions, they're custom content. You'll have to find a site to download them from.

the ceiliing tiles are placed in miscellaneous in the decorations section. it looks like three dots in the bottom corner. and you place them like floors but you cant press shift or hold and drag them along, do one by one

No, this tutorial doesn't include any editing tips. Only tips for the actual capture of video. You may use whatever program you choose for editing your clips.
