  • It has a good amount of pieces to use for D&D. That's the only reason I bought it. But it's quite fun when you have 2 people, and really isn't all that hard to learn. The hardest concept to grasp, which really isn't hard, is the dice.

  • I think there is something to be said for the much simpler Hero Quest compared to this game.

  • TAKES HOURS TO SET UP AND HOURS TO PLAY AND THE RULES SUCK. but its beautiful as hell and worth the struggle to learn

  • what is the song?

  • @DarkAntiU94 Excalibur i believe

  • @DarkAntiU94 out of interest, i checked it out. turns out its actually a song called "O Fortuna" So what i always thought was "Excalibur" turns out it isnt. Still an epic and awesome tune!

  • Carmina Burana - O Fortuna

  • OMG this video is nerdy. I like the shit of the glasses kid holding up a white winged figurine to the epic battle music lols. FIVE STARS

  • 0:24 lol

  • sorry .. but whats the best expansion for Descent: Journeys In the Dark?

  • Definitely: Road to Legend it doesn't add new monsters but it adds a "Campaing" variation. It basically becomes D&D 4th edition without the roleplay (you may add it though...)

  • reminds me of heroquest, thanks for the video, i have seen this game at my local game shop, and it was so expensive though, i think like $70, i wish i had enough for that game...

  • It really isnt that complicated. You just have to read the instructions well and play it 1 or 2 times to understand everything. I always play this with my 2 younger cousins, the older one is 13 and the other 9. So if they are able to play it Im sure you are also able manage it. If it still is to much you can always dumb it down by a few rules.

  • Doom is better since Doom is more balanced. Also the feel, the tension when the game gets on the knife's edge, something Doom has that Descent doesn't. Also Doom hasn't got overpowered heroes.

  • For fans of this game, what would you say makes this better than just playing a pen and paper roleplaying game? I know everyone probably has their own reason, but I'm curious because I'm a pen and paper player, but this does look kind of interesting. I'm looking for some other peoples' opinions on it, thanks.

  • It's more structured than role playing games, you are actually playing heroes vs an overlord.

  • that game is fair enough... but it is lame that every turn the gm pops up 3 monsters... it is tiresome

  • Last time I played, my friends went to town for three turns to fully recover. when they came back in, there was 20+creatures to fight thanks to spawn cards.

  • That game look like Doom the board game. But more medieval.

  • Im sry but Doom looks like this, cause this came first.

  • yeah, that true, sry

  • oh well, im just nitpicky I guess

  • what?? Descent came in 2005, Doom the BG came in 2004, this came after Doom

  • Really? Crap, not only am nitpicky, but i'm also apparently a dumbass

  • Actually, Descent is based off the Doom gameplay. It plays better then Doom for that reason.

  • how muc you payed?

  • that game is like $79

  • I waiting for my box with Descent now :D

  • Awesome game!! No Dungeon crawler can equal this mammoth!!
