Reining- Me and My Gang

I have a 16 year old pinto quarter horse gelding and he has competed in all the western performance events in quite high levels. He is very agile and very loving as well lol. I am going to take him to my first reining class in 2 weeks and apparently he is supposed to be super good. I hope I dont mess up. He may be 16, but he doesn't look or act like it.

hey you 3 year old is best at reining my 2 year old that i broke is best at barrel racing and give people rides it only took me 1 day to brake him

im teaching my mixed quarter horse a little of that but some things he might not be able to do because he is getting old. hes around 15yrs and all the other years nobody ever really worked with him til i got him, hes come a long way from what he acted like before! im working on neck reining and stoping. if anyone has any tips with riding him . plz help!

I don't know much about reining, but maybe you should ask your trainer or someone at your barn to help you out with him. You say he's getting old so if there's some things you think he can't do, don't force him. Maybe someone else on Youtube could give you more advice, but that's all I have. Good luck with him. :)

well I dont have a horse trainer and i own my own barn its not a boarding place its just mine on my land. but I dont force him at all , if he wants to do it then i let him but he still has energy!! hes my boy!

if you teaching him to neck rein use a curve bit and the lightest touch and cross the reins at the bit and curve bits work great on horses as long as you arnt ruff trust me i break and train and work with abused ones

my uncle did this so much on his horse diablo, that he has scars on his hawks. now he is taking it easy on him beacause of it, lol. and by the way i love your videos!!
