PC computers and windows may be harder to use unless you are a avid computer expert. Macs are basically for people who don't know that much about computers.
People but up with the mess of PCs because it's worth it for the cost and freedom. Apple's computers look nice but are limited, low spec for price and a complete rip off.
@unlockthepower To you maybe, I myself enjoy Macs because the are really, in my eyes, for people who want to edit things, create things, or produce music and something that you can use for live performances.
@unlockthepower I dislike Windows. Its so hard to use. I mean it seams easy, but there are easier and harder. Ubuntu is easier, Slackware is harder. AmigaOS is easier, Mac is harder.
@latinoalex5 Yes, in recent test, people new to computers find Mac, Amiga, and Ubuntu as the easiest to learn from no background. So yes. And Ubuntu, has no use for the terminal. Last time terminal was used in a full OS, that you can't do with GUI, was 1997. So maybe its not easier for you. But then stay with Mac, I mean if you tried the new Ubuntu, and disliked it, ok. But if you didn't then we shouldn't be having this conversation. Its proven, Docks are much simpler to learn.
am I gonna ever gonna move my PC with all of its cords everywhere? Does it really matter if it has tons of cords everywhere with its not like nobody is ever gonna move it unless they move to a new house. Thats what laptops are for. -PC gamer
@Numba1SouthParkFan All-in-ones are 1) Easier to set up. 1 power cord instead of a potential 9 for tower power, VGA, monitor power, webcam, keyboard, mouse, speaker in, speaker out, speaker power... 2) Good for multiple setups (offices, schools). 3) More compact, good for small desks. 4) Less stuff to get tangled, gather dust, get accidentally pulled out, etc. 5) It's ugly! Not all computers face a wall. Not saying you have to love the iMac, but there are plenty of reasons for an all-in-one :)
@gennyann2 Whatever dude, PC is and always will be the best choice for gaming. Can you take apart a mac and put new up to date hardware into it? Nope.
@Numba1SouthParkFan Yes you can! What about Mac Pros! I can upgrade the HDD and RAM in my Mac Mini. You can upgrade pretty much everything in an iMac too.
@penpin654 Why? Because they aren't overexcited? "omfg!!!! it's slightly thinner!!!! *screeeeaaaam* it's f***ing GLOSSY!!!!!!" people have lifes, you know. go get one, apple fanboy.
@GustafGouda Calm down. Actually, it's because it's an audience of journalists, rather than an audience of developers like they do at WWDC or an audience of fans like the used to do at Macworld.
@penpin654 It not's WWDC, it's a Press release. Usually in Press release, only PR/Blogs are invited to help broadcast. A company, like CNET or WSJ will just send an employee. WWDC is where everyone can go (if they buy a ticket) so that's where all the macheads go and cheer.
let me help BOTH of you two that are having difficulty resolving your problem incase you haven't already. IT DEPENDS ON THE END USERS SOFTWARE CHOICES, what they need to use the computer for, price, and whether or not support AFTER the sale is necessary. me personaly I KNOW how to custom build gaming high end. mid range and simple work desktop computers ( since 2001 more than 40 ftr) I dont need support after the sale nor crapware ( I buy oem windows b/c I know better) custom=CLEAN & powerful
________________________________________________________________THIS LINE REPRESENTS THE END OF THIS LITTLE RANT
it turned from logical conversation into butthurt fanfag struggle, i dont really care which you prefer its a goddamn computer now watch Steve do what he does best and watch the damn video,
@shady4tv Lol dude...I tried to end this rant already and you gave me the "that shows me you've been beat and are to pussy to admit it" speech...Remember? lol. #TheEnd.
@OfficialENXO no you ended with "Mac > PC" to me that just seemed very immature so i got all buttmad and stuff, the best way to end this is by either A. we both shut the hell up (which we obviously cant do) B. explain that this is the end and shut the hell up either way we just have to stop #RE:TheEnd
@shady4tv nope... Dell solution: months of waiting for the camera to be fixed and returned to you, and then you have to be lucky that it works again... Mac solution: 100% service in no more than a few days or a week.
@hcvang had mine replaced in a hour yes i said it an hour at my local PC repair shop, the nearest apple store is 180 miles away, apple service team suck they are stupid as hell my friend had an old Powerbook G4 laptop he gave me and the front panel (in between the power button and keyboard) was cracked so the power button was out of place, all the dumb ass' tried to do was sell me a new computer, i looked all over the web for that part with no prevail i ended up selling its parts
@shady4tv A webcam wouldn't break on a Mac unless you dropped the entire computer flat on it's face...breaking a PC webcam is far easier. All I have to do is unhook it and step on it... Or smash it with my iMac. #Winning.
@OfficialENXO NOPE depends on the PC camera you're thinking of a PC camera like a Apple one (theres only one kind) mine fell out a two story building and landed on concrete and had been stepped on several times while i was moving, not even a scratch the thing still works like brand new, the Powerbook G4 i got from my friend had a fuzzy camera display and had a small crack in the lens it was apparently hit by his backpack as he was going to class, also only $20 Logitech QuickCam #Winning
@shady4tv Thats because the one you got....was from your friend lol. And God knows what that dude did to it. And the one you got....was a Powerbook G4... :/ Come on lol. We're talking 08 iMac's here. But even still G4's were owning PCs back then. #StillWinning
@OfficialENXO still its a so called "superior" apple product that all the fanboiz jizzed over when it first came out, regardless replacing a whole computer is (and will always be) a lot more expensive than replacing a webcam, also just for the record my webcam is older than the G4 #idontknowwhattosayhere
@OfficialENXO REALLY?!!!?!?!? i thought i was actually having a logical conversation, (i guess thats not possible with a Macfag) and then you're too arrogant to say anything with any intellectual value whatsoever that shows me you've been beat and are to pussy to admit it, reasoning with a Apple fanboi is like drowning a fish
for the record a Mac is a mid-tier (meaning okay) PC its a little overpriced and hard to get parts (thank god Apple swiched from the stupid PPC chips to intel)
@shady4tv Nah, it's completely possible actually. I just refuse to keep on going because you will continue to bring up silly points that in no way enhance your stance on the subject. We have differing opinions. We can agree to disagree dude. I have not been beat, I just know when to stop because I know no matter what I say you're going to still believe PCs are better than Macs. That's just the way it works. I can not convert you into a believer lol so what's the reason for me to continue on here
@OfficialENXO that has got to be the stupidest thing ive heard all night *facepalm* when did i ever state i was a hurrrr PC fanboi hurrrrr why do think im watching a video about Macs, not to just bitch the webcam thing was a simple FACT, durpahurrr MACZ ARE WAY BETTA THAN PCS, is an opinion, although im not a huge fan of the OS in general, OS X does have some pretty neat programs Garageband, Finalcut Pro, ect.... but i have no use for them, i stated a simple fact and you go into a buttrage mode
@shady4tv There would be no point for me to keep proving that Macs are better, because you won't accept the fact and ADMIT THAT. Reasoning with a PC fanboi is like beating a dead horse.
Facts: Macs ARE pricey, but they are WORTH the price. Viruses are scarce. But PC's are breeding grounds for malware. PC's ARE cheap, and are WORTH the price. But a lot are cheaply made on the outside AND in the guts. Sure they have power, but my Dad's Dells all have just dropped dead and stopped working on a dime. And all he does is Microsoft Excel and some Word Documents.....I've owned PC AND MAC. Started on PC. Received countless viruses, got a Mac...for 3 years not ONE virus. Different story.
>implying i wont just use Linux and save the $2000
again all im seeing you do is compair a mac to PC like a PC is one thing
FUNFACT: some PCs are cheap and unusable (like you have clearly stated), some are better than Apple has to offer at around the same price or (if you're a really good bargain hunter) (not many are) much cheaper than a mac
More Facts: PC USB webcams are cheap, some good for the price. Sure. But easily breakable. Ok thats cool you had the superman of Webcams and it survived a 2 million mile drop from a window but all the stories I've heard were quite different. From PC LOVERS/Owners themselves. Mac's aren't nearly as easy to break as I've already stated why before. You'd have to break the freakin screen in order to break the cam. I'll take overpriced and quality vs. cheap and...cheap any day. #MacFag wins again.
@OfficialENXO and which brings us to the point of how long your computer will last, if you buy some cheap off-brand emachine and dont take care of it, it'll last you about a year, ever wonder why so many people are still happy with there 8 year old WinXP Machine, Hell my friends dad uses a windows 98 computer, (not for much than checking his email) but its still working just fine,
@gundamzerostrike actually at the time 2007 the iMac would have been much better spec than the dell and most cost effective in the long run with all the software you get with them etc, plus at the time the dell was running the worst OS in the world windows vista, i'll take my macs any day :P
Man i really want a Mac but i only get $200 a month and want a ps3/ and ipod touch also buying food and going to movies with my friends damit looks like i wont get one for a while
@ularuAlex Meaning the crash and fail part? It's less common than a PC having a BSOD. (At least it SHOULD be....) 7 BSODs on my iMac running windows and not one need for a restart (other than updates) under Mac OS X... And as far as I know, the 100 or so iMacs at my old school and the 50 or so other iMacs, eMacs, and PowerMac G5s at another one haven't failed in the past 6 years.
@MrTroll199 Because schools don't care enough to take care of them since they have so many of them. Also, depending on how old they are, they could be dying. (Schools run them for a LONG time in my experience.0
reaplcing the camera on a imac would require you to send the entire imac back for repair. fixing/upgrading yourself would kill the warranty and would be harder.
Replacing the Camera on a PC just requires you to go to walmart, buy the camera, go home, remove the old camera and plug in the new one.
@pRoud2VpINOY Then why is my iMac (the lowest end 20" one here) *STILL* faster than my uncle's computer? (His has 4x the RAM of mine, 3x the hard drive space, and a faster processor.)
"Why do people still put up with this?" Because Windows PCs have got a damn near monopoly on computer gaming and that's a third of the reason to have a computer. If it weren't for that, Microsoft wouldn't see another dime of my money.
Why do I put up white it because its way better than the most expensive I Mac Its way cheaper than the cheapest iMac and I don’t start I chatting the first thing on my computer I have actual stuff to do.
How do we make a better product? Make it shinier!
Whit 1799$ I can buy a high-end white money to spare.
I know but the wireless thing annoys me. I was watching this video where Steve Blowjobs introduced the new intel iMac and he showed this picture of a PC with loads of tangled wires (which is not the average computer he is just taking it out of context) he does not seem to get that wires make everythign faster....as with most things ugly people do things better then pretty ones same with computers
Apart from a short stint with an old SE, I've been and will likely always be a PC user. But PCs will never acheive what Apple sets the benchmark for, time and time again -- style.
Thanks BrooklynBros I know, you are right. I live in UK, and I have lived in US, this was only an observation. All the best for everyone on both sides of Atlantic.
@darkbrucewayne In america that's how it's spelt and pronounced, Im british and it's pronounced and spelt Aluminium whereas in America it's Aluminum just like colour and color
@FASSY524 Wow they must have a lot of money. My school still has the pre aluminum iMacs, i think 17", maybe 20". They've been replacing eMacs with Mac Minis recently.
This only had 1 gb of memory? I thought it had Two.

Anyone find it odd how the computers in the commercial are on and yet they're not plugged in?
DeltaPhi79 1 year ago
@DeltaPhi79 Nope. Macs do that.
ularuAlex 1 year ago
@ularuAlex Meaning the crash and fail part? It's less common than a PC having a BSOD. (At least it SHOULD be....) 7 BSODs on my iMac running windows and not one need for a restart (other than updates) under Mac OS X... And as far as I know, the 100 or so iMacs at my old school and the 50 or so other iMacs, eMacs, and PowerMac G5s at another one haven't failed in the past 6 years.
DeltaPhi79 1 year ago
@DeltaPhi79 as steve jobs would say "it's Magical"

Ch18dp1 1 year ago
If his products are so good then why are our schools new imacs crashing and failing all the time?
MrTroll199 1 year ago
@MrTroll199 Because schools don't care enough to take care of them since they have so many of them. Also, depending on how old they are, they could be dying. (Schools run them for a LONG time in my experience.0
DeltaPhi79 1 year ago
Is the audience dead or something? :/
Merc140497 1 year ago
reaplcing the camera on a imac would require you to send the entire imac back for repair. fixing/upgrading yourself would kill the warranty and would be harder.
Replacing the Camera on a PC just requires you to go to walmart, buy the camera, go home, remove the old camera and plug in the new one.

@Gameboykd If you don't abuse it.

yup, all, in one, harder to upgrade, easy to get obsolete... and very slooooowww... and looks dumb, dumber... boring....
pRoud2VpINOY 1 year ago
@pRoud2VpINOY Then why is my iMac (the lowest end 20" one here) *STILL* faster than my uncle's computer? (His has 4x the RAM of mine, 3x the hard drive space, and a faster processor.)

Where the fuck is blu ray on the Macs? Expensive monitors for what?
number7redking 1 year ago 3
@number7redking 1: Blu-Ray isn't necessary. 2: The current iMacs have screens made for photo editing.
DeltaPhi79 1 year ago
@DeltaPhi79 Who want's to edit photos on screen with patches of piss yellow on them.
BlueFoxTV 10 months ago
@BlueFoxTV You must not have used a new one.
DeltaPhi79 10 months ago
@DeltaPhi79 Actually i have. There are 7 core i7 27" mac's i look after where i work. One was DOA and 2 had cracked screens. When we got them.
WE sent them all away to have the LCD's replaced due to the yellowing.
I have received dell systems 10 warped together in plastic wrap on a flat. They all work. The MAC's came individually. And 3 did not work.
BlueFoxTV 10 months ago
@BlueFoxTV That's weird. I have an iMac from 2007 and the screen is fine. My guess is that whoever shipped them hit them too hard.
DeltaPhi79 10 months ago
Why do they hardly ever clap!!! >:O This is epic.
SLJfilmz 1 year ago
@SLJfilmz Yeah. Normally they don't let Steve Jobs speak, with all the clapping! :)

"Why do people still put up with this?" Because Windows PCs have got a damn near monopoly on computer gaming and that's a third of the reason to have a computer. If it weren't for that, Microsoft wouldn't see another dime of my money.
ReinnResauq 1 year ago
@ReinnResauq Please bare in mind he was talking about hardware :) You can install Windows software on a Mac for gaming whenever you want ;)
wickoox 1 year ago
@wickoox Too true. And with the Mac Pro you can have that lovely look if you really want it.

I don't get it. Why the war? You buy a Mac for OS X, PC for Windows really. I see buying a Mac computer for Windows pointless.

Apart from a short stint with an old SE, I've been and will likely always be a PC user. But PCs will never acheive what Apple sets the benchmark for, time and time again -- style.
