Until I read this comment I thought that this song was a genius love song about a girl the writer had once know. I couldn't stop playing it on my piano. Now that you've implied that it's about a bottle of wine has spoiled my enjoyment. Having listened to it one last time I'm thinking that he is actually using the wine comparisons as a metaphor for a woman. Still I can't shake the idea from my head. From now on I'm going to change the lyrics whenever I sing it leaving out all the wine parts.
