I love the melodic stuff you do but I think some brutality would make it better. You know, like a Suffocation kind of thing. Catchy-as-hell riffing with brutal grooves and what not. Add some variety into the mix without making it sound metalcore-like, with their "extreme" breakdowns and verses and sappy, melodic choruses.

They influenced me greatly for this, and they are Melo Death. I have some videos that are Metalcore, but others that I know are Melodic Death Metal. This stuff just isn't heavy enough to even be considerred any kind of death metal. This is metal core. The harmonized lead guitar riffs over power chords with triplets and all that jazz. It's all elements of metalcore. Not melodic Death Metal.
