  • I like these informative videos about Connecticut history.

  • Glad to hear from you, Cloth Canopy -- furled or unfurled. :-)

  • Almost there, should have mentioned that she rode thru Putnam Cnty, NY. Colonel Ludington's force was 400 strong. With the distance between homes then it was amazing that she called up almost the full force. Land was owned by the Dutch family Phillips. Many loyalist lived in the area, a highwayman tried to stop her by force but she fought back with her fathers musket and continued on. They were late to Danbury and caught up with Benedict Arnold's army and harassed the British back to their ships

  • Very good comment. Thanks.

  • Is this a viable source?

  • Not quite sure what you mean. I got the script info from legitimate sources and research and I shot the video myself, so I guess you could call it a viable source.

  • Me and some of my fellow classmates are doing an National History Day project on Sybil. Is this a professional or amateur documentary?

  • Amateur.

  • Hey...I'm doing a National History Day project on Sybil too...=O wat state are you in?? (better not be CT >=O)

  • I'm afraid that it is. But good luck on your project.

  • Great job! I grew up in Brewster, sandwiched in between Danbury and Carmel (where she lived). I remember in 4th grade it was required we all did a project on Sybil and her ride! A truly amazing story. Great job getting a rare, yet informative piece up on youtube!

  • Many thanx for the kind words.
