@berakd nia does NOT replace mouse it replaces keys, and creators say that will replace joystick but i really think a good mouse it will never be replaced :)

It doesnt work that way..

You cannot control every thing in the game, only movements.. You still have to use the mouse..

you can quite easilly emulate the same WASD into movement of the mouse, or even use TrackIR to move the mouse :D

Not really, apparently these things take months to get used to, and you still have to use a mouse to aim anyway so it doesnt give any massive advantage, just a bit of a quicker reflex action when you want to fire.

i'd say this stuff is not really for gaming experience tho. cuz i dont think its well built ennough to provide a huge gaming experiment. i'd say its made for people with reduced capacities. to make an awsome gaming experiment we still have a long way to go.

This was actually used in conjunction with a mouse(as was stated in the article). He used the mouse to aim and the NIA to move around and shoot.

@Raneman25 believe it or not it is totally possible to do what you suggested. However to even begin to start testing it would require brutal if not considered horrific experiments. pretty much attaching electronic devices into all your main muscles to track movement and the back of your eyes to transmit data. Then in your brain to control other things like the feeling of hot or cold which could be created in the virtual world too.

Lulz aside, most seem to prefer to use the mouse for aiming and everything else (movement, shooting weapons, reloading ect.) is done with the NIA. You could use only your brain, but it would be quite difficult.

there not commands, the devise runs off neural impulses like in actual movements, you already know how to move.

Not really. Sure, it works with raising your eyebrows and such, but it's not like if you got up and started running on the spot you would start moving ingame. You have to map the 'command' to the appropriate ingame function. It doesn't know how to decipher you thinking about movement.

That sounds about right. However, some just don't adapt at all and find it really hard to use. It seems that some people also think it's like mind control, and if you think of something like opening a webpage it'll do it. It's not like that, it's like mapping keys on a keyboard to actions in a game.
