I would like to know one thing, the flash hider, is it removable, and what is the diameter? I was wandering as If I were to get the TM Aug, I would like to add a suppressor or even a tracer unit.

I got the high cycle aug... but when I ordered it, all the batteries were out of stock(Same with magazines for all other augs, wth?), so I'm wondering... Is any other battery, that isn't already out of stock, acceptable to use with this gun? If anyone knows, please tell me. I really like the feel of it and my trigger finger's itching to use it.

@Epicfail082 nicad and intellect dont mean anything.. NiCad batteries are just a different battery "type", intellect just so happens to sell NiHM cells, another type of battery. You can use either one, you could even use LiPo, as long as you stay away from higher voltages, they are tough on the internals. hope that helps

Does anyone know if they're going to lower the price of this? I know that 250 in Japan is tolerable but over in the US and other countries it's pretty damn low. A 300-325 price seems a lot more tolerable than almost 400 dollars for a gun that won't reach a target at long range quick enough.

@Gannon191 It's a bit cheaper if you buy it from echigoya-guns; it's $373 including shipping to the US. Marui is mainly concerned with their own market, so don't expect them to be adjust for lower foreign demand.

Furthermore, the exchange rate from the Yen to the USD has been increasing over time. This gun won't drop in price anytime soon - if you really want one you should just get it now, if you have the money. Don't bother to wait - the US Dollar might not trade so well in the forex.

@timitheus I understand the whole "Take care of ourselves first" mentality they have, and I completely understand it. They're just digging themselves into a very big hole, like with what Nintendo did with the 3DS. For 30 bucks less I could buy a KWA that fires 350-400 with a 20 rof. It's very bad pricing and not nearly in the range of the competitors it's trying to fight with.

@Gannon191 Yeah, it's stupid to ignore a larger global market. I agree that $400 is a bit much for this. The quality control and hop-up unit are great, but the final price with shipping is too much. At least it's a unique gun for now! No one else makes an Aug a3 para! A high-cycle p90 would probably sell here, even with this kind of pricing!

With the USD depreciating like mad against every currency in the world, it won't buy a whole lot in the future. 2 years ago, a Marui gun at this price in Japan would only have cost about USD200+ to buy. But today it costs USD 400, even though it's still the same price in Japan. It's not that Marui has dug itself into a hole. They are still making guns for the same price as before. It's just US dollars are just so weak globally. It'll probably get worse.

@Gannon191 Unfortunately, if the US dollar doesn't appreciate back up to over 80 yen per US dollar, you won't see this gun get any cheaper. And if the US government continues to print money with it's Quantitative Easing program (QE2 or more), then we might all be looking at 70 yen per USD, which would make this same gun cost over USD 550! Not only that, cameras, cars, stereos made in Japan will all be unaffordable!

@aderonn Why? TM is meant to have great sturdy internals. Most JG guns shoot 400FPS and they work just fine and they have inferour internals to TM.

@MRhacki101 They do have great internals but they are built for the spring they pull, not for an m120 like you would use. TM's have precise internals but still can't handle a heavy spring for long. A JG is a clunky compared to a TM but can pull an m120 for a time (eventually it will fail though which the TM will continue to work on its 280fps spring)
