@funnyman14691 it's called pinched harmonics or pinched artificial harmonics. You hit the string with your pick - and slightly touch the string with your picking hands thumb at the same time. This requires high gain to come out nicely and a bit of practice

@NoAirPlayguitar hes definitely right you play it better than anyone on here. could you tell me, on the part between 14 secs- 17 secs, what notes you pick and what notes you hammer/pulloff? i know the notes but i cant seem to pick all of them strict alternate up to speed, is it jus a question of practising haha? or are there certain ones you pick and certain ones you dont?

@HeavyMetalVagabond thanks bud ! yeah this lick is tricky. I wouldn't be able to tell you which notes exactly I picked. but most of them are actually legato (hammers and pulloffs). Generally the first note on a string will be picked and then the rest hammered or pulled with maybe a stroke here in there in between. Don't worry too much about picking technique as long as it sounds good !
