I agree, people have very crappy manners nowadays. To play a Eric Johnson song with decent tabbing and minor mistakes aint easy, and to get shit for it is not ok. All is relative, there's better, there's worse, but it certainly aint no argument to throw shit at other ones trying to perform and show their skills.

boy1980boy, you have some good tone going on there, shake off the haters and keep on practicing. Find some dexterity excersizes to fine tune your timing, and then work on DYNAMICS! Eric may be technically proficient, but it's his dynamic style that makes him amazing. Every note he plays has a specific volume tone, and balance relative to the others. You have some talent there boy, now go live up to your potential!

try to play a little smoother through the chord changes, just loosen up a little and relax, its a very hard piece to play

First off, great choice of song! I have to agree with some of the other people here, you need to relax a little with this song. Try getting a video of EJ playing this song and see how he makes it flow.  For example, after the first round of octaves, that little fill, he holds a chord shape. The 7th fret stays barred the entire time, as opposed to you moving around. Gives it a more connected feel.

Hey man!

Great job. You got all the melody down very well.

A couple of things:

1. Work on your vibrato when you play.

2. Don't attack the notes so hard - do it more gently, so you get a softer sound.

3. Get a smoother distortion sound by getting more mids out of your amp.

4. Practice playing more solos with a metronome, because the solo wasn't very tight rhythmically.
