@srt8up4shot Blame the English for the word "soccer". After all, they did create the name as well as the modern sport. And Americans aren't the only ones that call it soccer, either. Canadians, Aussies, New Zealanders, and South Africans call it that, too. Does anyone remember any games being played in Football City during the World Cup?
