I had the pleasure of seeing this performance live. With her floor length gown she looked like she was floating across the stage - an enchanting performance.
hi dave its butch from butch and the teardrops.we meet in jersey in 05.just wanted to say this vid blew me away.u guys are the best.always been a big fan..i have new cd out in dec..maby we can hook up sometime when im up that way..god bless butch
@trooper7771000 Holy cow, Butch - GREAT to hear from you! Also glad to know you're still recording - I have both of your "old" recordings on my computer (somewhere!). Thanks for the nice words about the video. We should have more videos soon, just got back from a concert on Long Island.
To icarusutube - To set the record straight, this is Colette, not Lynne (Aquatones' original lead singer, who passed in 2001). I hope you agree that Colette sounds a LOT like Lynne - but no, she's not in her 60s!
@febegary Colette has brought back The Aquatones to many doo woppers who missed The Aquatones moment of glory back in 1958....she is the main reason I have become a huge fan of their old and new music.....
hi Dave, WHEW!!!..............."NUFF SAID".thank you sooo much for this F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C P-O-S-T.MAN THEY HAVEN'T LOST A SINGLE BEAT!!! TOM D. BRICK,NJ. {AT THE SHORE}.
@doowopman49 Thanks for your comment, Tom! Just got back from the Jersey Shore myself (9 gorgeous days at Wildwood Crest), fried to a crisp and lovin' it!
Unfortunately, the first time I ever heard The Aquatones was when I saw this video on "Red, White And Rock" back in July 2003, of course it was a rerun, but "new" to me, I loved it then, I love it now. The Aquatones became one of my all time favorite groups, and, as they say, "the rest is History"! Thank you, Dave, for posting this video, I love it!
Dave, Thanks again for all of your encouragement! Finally, I got to see you all on Red White & Rock and Roll. Thanks for posting the video. Collette was GREAT and the quality was fantastic!! Hi to Darlene. B & J
@doowopnuts Thanks for all your comments! Ironically, for all the times we were on TV in 1958, we have no "video record" of any of those appearances (because of the technology, or lack thereof, in those days). So FINALLY we got to see ourselves on the tube. What an awesome experience it was!
Jerry is saying in his intro "haunting tune"...I at first heard him saying "homing tune" which makes no sense - nonetheless enjoy the new Aquatones sound which is so close to the old it is pretty eerie..
I heard The Aquatones at the LAR show this past November in NY.. Great song!! Met Dave there- what a comedian!! lol Diana from L.A.

@Dave58KY You must be out of your mind as are the others! She sounds nothing like Lynne! This is horrific compared to Lynne.

Still trying to decide if I prefer this version or the original of this song - frankly they are both fantastic, as is Gale Storm's cover...
