Until a few days ago I didn't even know David Cross was a comedian in addition to being a comedic actor, so I certainly can't say I've been a life time fan or anything but to me it seems like it isn't really fair for Larry the Cable Guy to argue with him since regardless of whether Dan Whitney is smart or not he has to perpetrate an illusion of being kind of dumb in order to maintain his character whereas David Cross is free to use his full intelligence.

My two bits are this, I waited on David Cross at a little dive in Austin called CASINO EL CAMINO--he was pleasant, funny, and tipped well. Jesus made it pretty clear to treat others as you were treat yourself, and to not pass judgement on people. Selectively quoting parts of the old testament is just one way people skew the word of God and undermine the teachings of Jesus, which focused largely on tolerance, caring, and loving your neighbor.
