  • Very good info again!

My favourite warm up(strength training) is cardiovascular warm up

after foam rolling followed by joint warm up and dynamic warm up.

Sounds a lot but it takes 5-7minutes and I feel years younger!! :-)

  • @fliesenfuzzi But I still will be able to legally buy beer, won't I? ;)

  • How about stretching before cardio workout?

  • Great topic Evil. I know it's bad to stretch a cold muscle, but I thought that's why you did a cardio warm up b4 you started your weights routine..... so as to get the blood flow running through your body?

  • @AIversonI In general, yes. However, I'd say it is preferrable to specifically warm up the muscles you are going to use with the movements going to be done.

  • @Evilcyber Thanks for replying! :)

  • Thanks Evil! I was wondering about this recently, so I'm fortunate that you posted this. Anyways, if you have time for a question, what would be the best way of increasing your overall flexibility? I've made some great strength gains, but I've noticed that I'm quite unflexible, I can't even touch my toes w/o bending my knees. Any suggestions? And increasing overall flexibility wont hurt my strength will it?

  • @Leudast1 I'd say go for stretches post-workout, but make sure you stop before it hurts. Over time your flexibility should increase.

  • Wieder mal wunderbar!

  • great video..i always thought stretching b4 a workout was necessary, thanks for the info Evilcyber!!

  • @MrBeatlerpage Glad you found it helpful, man! :)

  • Thanks Evil, I didn't know that stretching is important.

From now on I'll stretch every day ;)

  • Nice polo-shirt!

  • Excellent, I was waiting for a video on this.

  • @JimboJ1981 Thanks Jimbo! Hope it cleared things up a bit! :)

  • i feel as though i recognize those citations?

  • @steveteaches It's basically the best material on the subject I found and it is very likely others came to the same conclusion.

  • Awesome video. Good job Evil!

  • @KuIJohnQ Glad you enjoyed it, John! :)

  • are u sure there r only 2 types of stretching .??

  • @runescapeclassicable Basically yes, although dynamic and static can be taken further apart into ballistic stretching (where you use momentum to go beyond your normal ROM), static-passive (where you support the stretched limb with a hand) or static-active (where the limb is held in position without help of the ground, a wall or hand).

  • @Evilcyber thats wat i was talking about...

i was like omg only 2 types but i hv read many types (:
