  • what happened to him, so young to die RIP god bless you

  • I just saw this today, I lost touch with everyone from bootcamp, but I know everyone would remember Barberio. There was a reason our RDC's called him the "All-POC", no one else in our division worked harder or was as sharp a Sailor. I'll never forget the time he let Chief know about a fairly significant "hygiene problem" with the laundry, still makes me crack up four years later. My condolences to his friends and family, Michael is gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace Barberio! - HM2 Lesser

  • hi i wuv u mike

  • Wow.. Mike and I had the same birthday.. I worked with him for almost a year and a half at REC Warehouse... I got a new phone and didn't hear a "Happy Birthday" this year... Then just found out a week ago of this tragedy... He was the most caring person I had EVER met. I know these are the types of things people feel they have to say when one passes but there is no getting around it about him. He looked never to himself. The most encouraging, hard-working guy I knew.

  • I ask everyday why did it have to be him?! He was one of the most amazing people on the face of the planet! Always took care of friends and family before himself and didn't even think twice about it! I miss all the amazing times we shared! And all the great times we had with all of our other friends! He will always be missed and loved by me!! And he will always have a place in my heart!

  • Terri...just wanted to say the vid made me cry...forgot all of the good times with Michael...ROTC, pool parties, Atl Motor Speedway...Michael lived fast, and left us way too soon...my thoughts and prayers are with his family, and certainly the endless friends.

  • RIP Michael. A sincere soul whom always has a wonderful presence and energy about you. You are well kept in the hearts of your friends and family. Maybe we'll meet again in another lifetime. Until then old friend, be well and have peace.
