You can find the best fighting Tosas in the 45 kilo range aprox,some are pit/tosa mixes and there are some tosas,fewer ones,at 70 kilos who could beat any dog from any breed and the 45 kilo tosas or tosa mixes.

Also, Tosa Inu's can get along beautifully with other animals, they are dominant of course, but they can co-exist peacefully and lovingly with other animals, I've seen it and lived it in my own house with my Tosa Inu and my other dogs, Doberman, etc.

Benho, I have a Tosa and he's remarkably gentle. Though he could bite clean thru most dogs (at the dogpark,) he really exercises unusual restraint.
I am fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with him and have been extremely diligent addressing any dominance issues before the magnify. I"ll concede that these dogs have potential, due to size and strength, to be problematic. But they can also be AMAZING companions. All it takes is the effort

You can find the best fighting Tosas in the 45 kilo range aprox,some are pit/tosa mixes and there are some tosas,fewer ones,at 70 kilos who could beat any dog from any breed and the 45 kilo tosas or tosa mixes.

Also, Tosa Inu's can get along beautifully with other animals, they are dominant of course, but they can co-exist peacefully and lovingly with other animals, I've seen it and lived it in my own house with my Tosa Inu and my other dogs, Doberman, etc.

i agree with you on most of what you say but my tosa comes from a very hot bloodline. while he does get along with my female bullterrier,boerboel, and 2 shepards which are also female. he doesnot for some strange reason like pits on sight, not even if its a female in heat. my tosa is very stable, but keep in mind that the japanese bred these dogs for fighting only. thats what they do, like it or not. there is a group of japanese trying to convince me to let them test my dog in japan as we speak

if you have a male tosa that allows other male dogs near him, you have a curr. my tosa gets along with my female dogs, but no way does he allow any male to comr within his territorial bubble

They are heavier than Rhodesian Ridgebacks, which are also beautiful dogs. Why are you surprised they aren't fighting? They are all raised together, they are proud dogs, and a pack will have a heirarchy. If there are troublesome dogs, they need to be isolated, like any dog breed. The Tosa Inu (or Tosa Ken) is a stable dog, and protective of it's property and owners. Great dog for an experienced owner willing to be the leader.

You seem to know what your talking about. How would you rank a dogo argentino, dogo presca, caucasian shepard or bully kuta with a tosa or pit bull? I know tosa are suppose to be pretty much unbeatable. I have a friend who has said dogo argentino are amazing fighters. Also said he went to pakistan and saw bully kuta fight. He said those were the most aggressive dogs he as ever seen.

depending on the bloodline of the particular breeds, but the tosa reins supreme. if you ever get a chance, check out this hardback book called gladiator dogs. the tosas in that book are in my dogs lineage. my tosa is the grandson of the famous tosa named katsurahoma. my tosa is a rare black. i also own 3 presas and i have a friend that owns a dogo, for those who have never seen a tosa except on these clips cannot appreaciate them unless you own one, then you would become a believer

my friend do your research, the tosa will dismantle a pit in no time trust me. i own one that killed 3. no fault of mine. some clowns got wind to what kind of breed he was and decided to conduct their experiments on my dog.now they are believers

i agree that the tosa is a formidable dog, and many agree including me that it is the best fighter of the large fighters(Kangal,alabai).i also don't contest that the tosa can kill the smaller pitbull,but i don't agree that that pound for pound there is a better fighter or a dog with more drive than a game breed pitbull.

have you ever been to japan? i have, i have also seen tosa fights, the only thing that can stop a tosa is another tosa, i have one of the gamest bloodlines in the tosa community. the japanese travel to the states all the time to buy game pits and use them as barrometers for their tosas. do you even know how the tosa was developed? pit bull, german pointer, greatdane and english mastiff. my tosa is more game than any pit you can bring to the table.

the tosa is an awsome fighter,but just because it can kill a much smaller dog does not make it the best fighter.a tosa would never be timed for more than two hours in a single match,and just as i would never put my 65 lbs dog against a 35 lbs dog,i would not fight my 65 lbs dog 60 lbs uphill....yes i have been to japan ,but only twice

man you can take those catchweight currs and shove them. ive breed pits,corsos,rotts,presas,boerboels,shepards,dobs,bullterriers,bullmastiffs,danes,neos,and banddogges, the best i ever owned and still own is my tosa. my tosa would make quick work of your pits any of them. he is the absolute hottest dog i ever had, with unlimited preydrive. do i fight him? hell no. but ive had to remove 4 pit carcasses from my yard from idiots tossing their dogs in my yard once they found out what breed he was

im a lifetime military man, ive seen the kangal, they cannot handle a tosa. i dont know where you get your info from but you are dead wrong. the tosa is breed for fighting in japan. the kangal is a piece of shit
