I notice on the dog Hartz I used to give my 70 pound APBT it says specifically not to give it to cats, I would magine giving them anything Hartz made, even if made especially for cats, would be harmful. My dog lives outside so I didn't monitor him after application but the next morning he was listless and pale, I didnt think much of it but he was definately not feeling well. Last time I used Advantix and he was happy and healthy the next morning, Hartz is not good for any animal!

Just wanted to add to the list of people whose pets were almost killed by Hartz. We gave Hartz to our two cats and they almost died. Luckily the younger of the two started freakin out only 5 minutes after he had it on him by slamming his head against the floor over and over trying to rub it off. I promptly googled the product and found out about using dawn soap to reverse the effects and thankfully after a few hours they were doing much better.

@Catweedhigh Hartz, as with a number of other CHEMICAL companies out there (Hartz is not the only ones in the pet killing business, you know), is a huge corporation. The only thing they can understand, besides the bottom line, is a bullet in the brain. Something like 44,000 complaints to the EPA have done nothing. Apparently they have bought the EPA off and now they are part of the problem, too.

I put it on my puppy and after like 5 minutes I went on the internet to learn about the flea and ticks drops from hartz I immedietly went to my mom and told her were washing him also wen we put it on him he was just laying there like he was dead but right after we washed him he was his crazy self agian if it wasnt for the internet I could have lost someone really dear to me im also sorry for anyone who had someone loved taken away for them or any dog that was harmed using this dispicaful product

SENTRY PRO XFC!!!!!!! ALMOST KILLED MY DOGS THIS LAST MONDAY! Stupid me. I trusted Petsmart! I trusted Sergeants! The ONE damned product I didn't research. PLEASE BEWARE! And just so everyone knows. I have 2 completely different breeds. A 95lb German Shepherd and a Beagle/Lab mix. 45 pounds. So the "certain dogs are sensitive" excuse is just that! A bullcrap excuse!

Last night I used the flea and tick spray on my SIamese cat, a healthy playful cat. Today my cat is dying. First his legs stopped working now his whole body is paralyzed and he is just staring off trying to breathe.... thank you Hartz for killing a member of my family....

Buster went crazy within minutes of being treated. He started to foam at the mouth, and began drooling and his eyes watered. He was hot to the touch, and began urinating all over himself. He breathing was crazy.

Both Hartz and Bio-Spot called SEVERE allergic reaction to my cat Buster. It alsmot killed him!

Buster got fleas from us moving to a new house, and the carpet at the new house had fleas. This was our first time dealing with fleas, so we were uneducated. We tried HARTZ first, because it was cheap and all over the pet isle at the store, so we trusted it.

Also, Bio-Spot. It's poison. Don't use. Seek natural methods and don't trust companies that just want to make a buck at the risk of our pets. Also, you and your children are exposed to these same products. What is it doing to your children when they play with a treated pet?
