you are doing a wonderful job of coaching comparing technic of professionals this is the way tennis should be taught so many kids play with awful technique i see this a lot @ tournments they have tremendous talant but unfortunately they havelimited potential with choppy way to hit.this happens all the time in adult recreational tennis as well with faulty grips people try to hit massive backhand with a forhand grip end up hurting their elbow.well done and congratulations.
why compare to completely different styles. i would not pay money to go here, what a joke. western grip will have a more open stance while an eastern a more closed
vai toma no cu comparar uma criança ruim pra cacete(ainda se achando)com as estrelas do tenis, vai tocar uma punheta envez de perder tempo fazendo esse video seu otario --'
1) Kids need a longer backswing to get enough power - no point correcting that at this stage
2) The hybrid backhand is fine - very few kids of this age are strong enough to hit a single handed b/h - this can be a transition technique (or even stay with it eg. Berasategui)
why do you compare the kids backhand to Haas,,,Robbie is hitting a double handed backhand and letting the hand off like borg.. better off to keep both hands on and teach him a double handed backhand,,
Does anyone who watches these kids realize how many people in the world, at any level, jr-pro can hit the ball perfectly? Does that make you a champion, or potential champion? No. It helps to be able to have perfect technique, but people with perfect technique are a dime a dozen. There are so many other things involved, I would run out of space trying to comment.
Denis Shapovalov is good too. I am grateful Robbie has talent & he is training hard to continue to improve his game. He has not been compared to any pros in these videos as you cant compare pros to kids.
thanks for your comments yes denis shapovalov is a talented kid. I am greatful Robbie has talent & he is not being compared to federer as it is impossible to compare a junior to a pro, only to use a pro as a guideline to develop some kind of technique.
Didn't they already show clips of Federer playing at a young age? And he was playing a hell of a lot better than this kid. He was hitting so smoothly and effortlessly, like it was as easy as walking. Looked like he was just there to give the opponent someone to play with. And this kid should stick with a two hander. With that form, he might not develop a good one hander. Some people are natural one handers, some are natural two handers. Sampras wasn't a natural one hander, enough said. lol
looking good

Soderling and Del Potro have big take backs too and they have pretty good forehands if you ask me. Sometimes coaches just need to stop playing God.

Good but dont compare to Federer; This kid doesn't even use the same grip, it is obvious kid uses Western grip which is totally opposite of Federer.

stupid comparison, at least use someone who uses the same grip, very few players use an eastern like federer.

"why would you compare a 7 year old kid to roger federer...."
So they can show the kid what he is doing well and what he could do better. Its called coaching.
