  • Sinn fein changing their minds on the banks

  • Gerry talks bollocks more like! Where are the bodies of the 'disappeared' then Gerry?

  • LOL - Gerry Adams and economics....remember this guy didn't even know what the Irish tax rate was :) He hasn't a clue...all he knows about is killing, bombing, lies and the IRA

  • Seriously thought the guy is talking crap....its so far off the scale in terms of reality its unbelievable. The other parties simply ignore him because he hasn't a clue what hes talking about.

Gerry talks good, looks and sounds like hes defending people etc...IF YOU LET THE BANKS FALL - THEN IRELAND FALLS. Same with every nation in the world you fail to bail out the banks the the nations from the USA to Britain to France and China they all will fail !

  • @51wins So its 3 months later and knowing what you know now do you still believe that bullshit ?

  • @YamaKazoo

    Believe what?

Gerry Adams is a fake in the Republic...he was sent there to try increase the Sinn Fein vote ahead of an election that seen voters dismayed by the mainstream parties.

He knew very little about the everyday working of Irish politics...and didn't know the details of Irish debt or government law e.g. the tax rate.

He has spent his life in Ulster/British politics and its impossible to know everything and therefore knew little about Irish economic problems.

  • @51wins Thats nonsense. For a start he wasnt "sent" anywhere. Fianna gael and labour have reneged on almost all promises made. So what did they know about details ? I voted labour and look at them now, they are carrying on the same path as fianna fial thinking more loans, more debt is going to solve anything. They have put ireland into an economic black hole. Sinn fein are the only party in my opinion that have any credibility left.

  • @YamaKazoo

Sinn Fein would do the very same thing mate...they may talk big but its all talk. Parties are in a no-win situation we have all got ourselves into.

Labour for example have to borrow more money otherwise the country runs out of money and goes bankrupt. But borrowing money only makes things worse....so the other option is to cut cut cut in all sectors and this makes voters angry when their local hospital is being shut or losing services or their local school being merged with another.

  • @YamaKazoo

ps: to say Sinn Fein has credibility left is madness....they lost ALL and I mean ALL credibility along time ago. Its like saying years after the war that the Nazi party aren't all that bad.

  • @51wins Nazis ? lol. The say for every five comments on the internet one mentions nazis. There is no comparison. There is only one way to find out what would happen with a sinn fein government. One thing is for sure though, we wont become self sufficient selling all our natural resourses for a quick euro or buying yachts for millionaire bankers. Sinn fein have been saying this for years so i doubth they would do the same. It would be a big change but its need now rather than later. Imo.

  • @YamaKazoo

Your jumping the gun...I didn't say they were like Nazis...I simply meant after murdering thousands Sinn Fein has no creditability. Its like saying the Nazis have creditability after their genocide worldwide.

  • @51wins If you use that as reasoning then the founders of every nation in the world have no credibility. There was an article in the independent a few years back about declassifed files released by the government. The free state army were tieing groups of republican prisoners to land mines and detonating them. Sinn fein have choosen the path of peace and have stablised the north, how much more credible can there be.

  • @YamaKazoo

Sinn Fein are terrorists/or supporters or terror. A SF member arrested this week for murder of 2 soldiers in NI, this is the face of SF. They also have a socialist agenda and an anti-British agenda.

Considering Ireland is a free democratic nation and not a socialist one, and that the biggest trading partner Ireland has is Britain Sinn Fein in power will do great damage to the modern Ireland. Plus how will Protestants or Orangeism fit into a SF controlled Ireland?

  • @51wins dude you about 13 years out of date.

  • @YamaKazoo

I'm the one living in Northern Ireland, I see what Sinn Fein members get up to. They have no respect for the Protestant community, the Unionist or Orange culture.

How can we build a shared country when you have SInn Fein throwing spanners in the works every day. The SDLP are a Nationalist party they can work well with Unionists the it seems not a week goes by that SInn Fein dont cause some kind of problem or insult someone.

  • @51wins What are you looking for ? eh ? a fucking arguement.

    Fuck off with yourself

  • @YamaKazoo

coming from the guy who started this debate...you left me the comment.

I'm off...these politics has nothing to do with me anyway. Was hoping for a decent chat with Republic voters.

  • @51wins I think you're exaggerating a bit there. I get the impression that you think capitalism, democracy in Ireland will cease to exist with SF. More Fine Gael propaganda. God forbid a party who actually care about the people. Not all politicians are perfect either. I'm sure you'll find the same amount of unionist politicians with the same negative attitude as a minority of SF politicians/councillors. Orange culture? ask an Orangeman would they let a spud munching mick like me join them :)

  • @MrSimo552

Sinn Fein is a socialist party their aim isn't true democracy. Anyway we seen how Sinn Fein care of the people, they murdered hundreds of their so called own people and killed thousands of others who simply didn't agree with their political point of view. Sinn Fein can't take the high ground like their some kind of defenders of the people....their no different then anyone else.

They act like their a normal party but that's far from the case and the majority see right through it.

  • @MrSimo552

ps: your welcome to join the Orange Order as long as you match the entry requirements... You are to be Protestant/Christian. If you are then you can join no matter what country you come from or what race you are ! You can be a communist and yet still be a member of the Orange Order !

Likewise if you want to became a Roman Catholic priest im sure you first must be Roman Catholic...am I right?

  • @51wins Sinn fein murdered hundreds? That's very naive and ignorant, you're referring to the PIRA. That's like me saying the UUP or DUP are all in the same basket as the likes of Lenny Murphy, Johhny 'mad dog' adair and michael Stone. It's ludicrous. Past is the past, and the elitist pricks to Gerry's right know it, but just won't let it go. It is a shame they're so heavily linked to former Provo's. They could be so much bigger. I'd pick SF over the treacherous, elitist FF or FG anyday.

  • @MrSimo552

Sinn Fein and the IRA was the same thing, SF was the IRA's political wing. MOST of Sinn Fein's members were active members in the IRA. The current 3 leaders of Sinn Fein in NI were IRA 2 of them on the Army Council. So yes they are responsible for the murders!

The DUP, UUP were not the political wings of the UVF/UDA etc. Those two Unionist parties were against terrorism. Likewise the SDLP a nationalist party was also against terrorism. Sinn Fein was in a different league.

  • FFS Gerry ... what an uneducated fuck

    ...

  • @mitsevohonda uneducated?? think again. one of the greatest irish politicians of this island!

  • I respect Gerry Adams a lot. Finest Irish man the country has seen in a while. He cares and wants the absolute best for Ireland.

  • Gerry Adams is a thug and should crawl back under whatever rock he came from. "Big multi national corporations" is he a child?

Does he get a double wage as a MP and TD?

  • Gerry Adams is a thug and should crawl back under whatever rock he came from. "Big multi national corporations" is he a child?

  • LOL@ you make the DUP look like choirboys lol

Good old gerry, slagging off the DUP.

  • @Hisreaction He's FAR from an Idiot my friend... I Completely Agreed with all his Policies? and Im From Cork!?

  • The American patriots fought to create a new country which was supposed to be free from the tyranny of the city of london bankers who were the real power behind the British Empire and their aggressive imperialism. Why should the Irish people pay for the high crimes of the City of London? Thanks Gerry Adams I'm glad your getting more votes you have identified where the root cause of the problem lies perfectly. Gerry Adams you are a true legend. Now America needs a Gerry Adams to point out

  • We have to leave the EU, dishonor our so called debt which is contractually illegal, leave the IMF and Bretton woods agreement and Kick out all foriegn corporations who have bought up our state owned natural resources. We then need to revise our Constitution to mean what it was meant to mean !! That will do for starters !!! Sinn Fein unfortunately are socialists not Republicans, in fact I doubt they really understand the meaning of the REPUBLIC !!!!

  • Maybe he had weapons in his hands, who hasn’t? We decide as human beings to abuse each other in simple terms each day, deciding instead of uniting together, we are always dividing. I am a witness to people being abused day in day out and I did stand up for one person in particular, I was made an outcast for that. We need to, has a people of this proud country, unite and stand up for ourselves. I'm fed up of the cowards and the shallow people in this world, balls up as a citizen............

  • Why Didnt We Vote This Man Into Gov.!!

  • imf bailout should be put to the people in a referendum ! great performance by gerry and sinn fein deserved their seats because they are hard working dedicated activists who want the best for this country unlike the other parties who want to sell this country out . they are not just a bunch of upper class snobby know alls speaking for everyone ,their party has members from all parts of society and thats what makes it the true irish peoples party !

  • He scares me so much. Murderer.

  • Voted Labour :)

  • come on rangers!!

  • i know for a fact gerry adams has 200 weapons stored in his basement, demilitarized my arse... god save the queen

  • Pat Kenny you have no right to interrupt Gerry Adams when he is speaking - he is a man far superior to you.

  • Wow, Gerry really nailed it. He took a lot of criticism for his performances in the last debates but I think he deserves credit for this one. A great performance.

  • what about anto brogan? saw him on the frontline, seemed sensible enough

  • GERRY!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!! FIGHT ON!!! YOU ARE OUR VOICE!!!!

    YOU SURE SHOWED THEM!!

    VIVA GERRY ADAMS!!! VIVA!!!

  • Putting aside everything else about the man, love him or loathe him, he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about when it comes to economy.

That said, it's kind of like the game Nick Clegg played by talking rubbish about no tuition fees knowing fully well he'll never be in government (nevermind how unfair that policy would be anyway.)

Gerry's just making noise. Unfortunately the lower/working class will cling to him because they are desperate. Poor sods.

  • @jonnycurrieplaysfm,i'm not lower or working class and i'll still vote for him, because if their's one party in Ireland that will bring fairness in Irish society it's Sinn Féin.Working as TD's on the average industrial wage, taxing the wealthy in society,it's the type of thing we need to see after the last few years in this country.

  • @SolanoIRL09

Your politicians have failed you. Not doubt about that. However it's wrong to just pick the cowboy who rolls in pretending he's the saviour. He's knows nothing (as many of your media outlets have already stated many times) about the economy and the bottom line is, you would be even more screwed if Gerry and Sinn Fein had some sort of legitimate power in Dublin.

That said, even they know they aren't getting past opposition.

  • @jonnycurrieplaysfm,well there's many top economists in Ireland like David McWilliams that say we should burn the bondholders, which is also what Sinn Féin is saying. My own reasons for voting Sinn Féin are mainly that I've voted Fianna Fáil all my life apart from the last election where I voted for the Greens, and I couldn't bring myself to vote for Fine Gael or Labour who will just back FG up.And I don't know if I'd believe everything they say on the media, they have a program called the 11th hour

  • @SolanoIRL09,on rte 2 and in it they made the man in the middle of this debate Enda Kenny look like the winner and basically were all talk about how well this man's party Fine Gael were going to do,when the fact was there was nothing spectacular about him at all and a poll that was carried out actually showed that Gerry won the debate.Compared the last election debate in 2007 in fairness to Gerry he's come on a lot!

  • @jonnycurrieplaysfm and FF/FG do know something about economics? C'mon. Every choice in the last decade those parties made in terms of economics has been a failure. Gerry Adams may not hold a degree in economics but he has common sense and his views are more in line with the average Irish citizen. Keep the money in country and move away from the free-for-all capitalism that has destroyed Ireland. If a more socialist democratic system would of suffered less in the recession (of which

  • nearly all have) then Gerry Adams economic stance would be classes as relative genius compared to these idiots he's standing next to.

  • *classed as

  • i hate sinn fein...i thought gerry a fellow true to himself but after this i see he is....a man that loves his ppl and not the high flyer asses who all the rest want to be.bless there souls at gerry has some idea of voted by the ppl by the ppl.i do hate to say it that mad man moves me..republic stuff makes me think...mad man...but feck he talks sense, maybe its coz he dealt with stuff i'll never understand, but compared to the rest of the monkies i hate to say he at least loves the nation b4 him

  • we should follow Iceland's economic example and not pay the IMF a green punt..

  • vote sinn fein .the real irish party.

  • ta tu ceart

  • ta tu ceart...but remember dick spring, alan dukes and their leader ray burke etc..look up kincora(d.u.p.)....what they did there was appaling for those children

remember ignorance is not bliss..,.slan mo chara.........

  • yoo make the DUP sound like alter boys hahahahhaha

  • the truth will set us free and then we can punish the corrupt...and take back our natural resources that were criminally 'given' way....by criminals..take note that time does not lessen the crime.

  • @crunchie1151

could also take back the occupied 6 counties that were given away too

  • @MetalAaron small problem there. the majority in the 6 counties wish to remain under brit rule. unfortunately

  • @crunchie1151 Gerry adams is the most corrupt human being in this country,This video is very one sided!
