@TheJoyfulJerry It never took itself seriously before. Now it does, luckily. Interestingly, the Spyro series' rival Crash Bandicoot got more serious gameplay in a similar manner, but in terms of tone and story was more silly than ever. It wasn't bad at all, but it was weird...

@AlexCromwellVP The game is not a remake of the first three series. The new owners of the series decided to try out something different with Spyro by making him more serious. Honestly I think the new archive is better because of the graphics and music. Cynder is one of my FAVORITE villains out there ( I love her even more in DOD). Don't get mad at a game just because it looks different ;P

Sparx has really changed a lot... he was little, cute and cuddly before, with a cute "voice" and no arms or legs... now he has arms and legs and a big mouth that never shuts up! But hey! its still sparx :D
