Got one of these for my Xperia Neo, running android ver 2.3.3 Wasn't aware that an upgrade to ver 2.4.4 or 4.0 was needed for the wireless functions to work. Just have to wait for my network to decide what they're going to do next!;-)
I am planning to purchase a live dock for my arc s.
what I wanted to know is can I just use a mouse to control the live dock when its connected to my TV? I mean will the onscreen keyboard popup?
secondly, when I am in middle of an application on my TV sitting back on my sofa, do I need to go to my device physically to access the home and back buttons or can I do that with my mouse.
Does it works with the wireless Xbox 360 controller for Windows? I saw i guy in a forum saying it won't work. Also, does all games recognize the gamepad?
At least in Android 2.3.4(that is coming to your 2011 Xperia this fall) you can connect most usb devices that you want(without a dock). It will bring suppor for usb-on-the-go and that will enable you to use mouse/keyboard, a usb-memory or maybe even an external usb-harddrive. Note that some of this might even be possible now with an usb standard to micro/mini usb adapter(that will be needed in most cases anyways for usb-on-the go).
@rubinsson I've got a Neo on the latest available software with a USB-OTG-cable, and right now stuff doesn't work simply because Android 2.3.3 doesn't support it natively. So you will have to wait for 2.3.4 in all cases.
@AmbroosVaes : Sorry my bad. The USB port on android smartphones(at least) does not work like a computer usb-port and thus USB on-the-go was conceived to work around its limitations. Android 2.3.4 does indeed implement suppor for USB-OTG and as far as I understood the mouse or keyboard or whatever you connect does not have to be a special USB-OTG device as its a host only change.
Hey I didn't know you guys coud talk :P maybe you should do that too when you're showing phones :p that would be nice, just so you ca tell us the look and feel and release dates. Love what you guys are doin -keep doin it!

HDMI is phone dependant. The LiveDock doesn't have any HDMI but some Xperia phones do.
What looks like a microHDMI port on the back of the LiveDock is actually a micro USB for data connection/charging
Shame really as it all starts to look like Frankenstein's monster with all the wires sticking out of it.
And I thought this was the "wireless" era.
