  • Omg that was amazing congrats and happy belated birthday!!! I was a little aggravated once she was born because it sounded like there was something in her mouth which is probably fluid from the birth. Here in the u.s they have these suction things soo that they can get the fluid out of the baby's mouth and nose. Maybe we just do it differently here :) again congrats!!

  • Beautiful thanks for sharing.. What a gorgeous baby!

  • i like how pushy you are

  • If, you dont mind me asking, why where you on your hands and knees?

Also, this is amazing, and youdid a fantastic job, I am 2 month along so far!:D

  • @chloekittyy Thanks and congrats! :-) I guess it was mostly personal preference, I fonun being on all fours much more comfortable, but its also a better position to give birth in. Gravity is on your side, you're pushing down, baby is more likely to be in the correct position and will come out easier as not being pushed 'up'. I really don't know why some hospitals insist on women being on their backs! Here in UK squatting, all fours, on your side or even standing all quite normal positions.

  • That's one mad baby:D she wouldn't stop crying until U started to nurse her. Cute baby

  • I shouldn't of eaten just before watching this I going o throw up from all the blood *faint*

  • Amazing i have 3 babies Veronica 8 weeks Vanessa 1 month and Andrew 3 weeks they feel so good to come out because there kick kinda hurts and i know you know this babies are best things and so presious

  • btw what did you name him/her

  • @prettyprincess32602 Seren, she's a girl and she's four now!

  • oh god thats nasty seeing the head come out before it pops out its just gross

  • This is a good video I did not like the doctors and or nurses. I thought they seemed kind of rude. I also felt bad when they did not let you up I would of just done it and got up. I am all about not doing what they tell me. If I feel the need to do something I am listening to my body first.

  • <3 this looks exactly like my birth <3 I was looking at other videos and wondering like, how are women so calm in these videos ? YOurs seems accurate to me

  • Thanks very much

  • Great job and thanks for demonstrating how much more comfortable it is to birth on all fours rather than on your back or side. You noticeably began to calm down and focus once you were in the position you wanted. But what a pain those silly monitor straps and cables are! Exactly the same information could be conveyed by a midwife holding a sonicaid to your tum after each contraction.

  • why didnt they suction that stuff out her throat

  • @searby1 it's just not common practice to do that in the UK. Suctioning can cause breathing and suckling problems and cause the baby unnecessary distress. It's also actually quite good for them to get the mothers bacteria to build up their immune system.

  • this is a very inspiring video, i am due to have my baby in a month and i would like to use the all fours position so i thought id have a little looksie at your video, you did an amazing jhob and it has eased my mind seeing how well you did, congratulations.

  • I am so astonished i cant believe i wen through that a few months ago, im glad i know now because i wished i had been video taped in d birth of my daughter. Hopefully for my 2nd child I can:) Congratulations on that beautiful baby :)

  • This may be "gross" but i think its the best way to show labour to be honest..for people out there who want to know what it entails :) I am pregnant at the moment and was really scared about labour before watching this but know i feel much more at ease. Just knowing that the people at the hospital are with you every step of the way makes me feel so much better.

    Thanks for sharing this :)

  • Awesome video!!! What a wonderful birth. I'm so amazed at how quick she was breast feeding!

  • Wow, watching that was amazing! I almost cheered aloud and applauded you when you got onto all fours - which is one of the best positions for birth. Also, your support team were really sweet to allow you that freedom. I am due in 4 weeks, and really, really hope that my experience will be just as beautiful as yours (it really is beautiful, even with the "gross" parts!). I do not think our hospitals and staff are as open minded here in South Africa as in UK. Great job, mommy!!

  • Thank you for sharing! SO lovely! I wish those birth practices were more prevalent here in the states!!

  • oh my goodness your baby has alot of hair :D so beautiful

  • wow, its a shame the US has caught up with you guys! what a wonderful hospital experience. If a US woman does not stay home or at a free standing birth center, she basicly hands herself over to high Csction rates or pushes her baby out while laying on her back and connected to a million wires! what a shame, what a shame, what a shame!!! good job mama and whatever hospital you were at in whatever country!

  • I have to ask what you were feeling in regards to pain..? When the baby came out you didn't even seem to make a sound! I am TTC and I hope that my labor will be just like this, but I think you are an exception! With my first I braved it for a bit, but then got an epidural at 7. Thank you for sharing. Life is beautiful!

  • @LDGrillo It's hard to remember the pain now as it was so long ago. I had a very quick and intense labour, less than 3 hours and only two hours of contractions - but that made them thick and fast. The last hour was *very* intense and at one point I thought I was going to give birth in the car! But once I was told I could start to push I was able to just breathe and stay calm. The actual giving birth wasn't so bad at al because you know it's about to end & I don't find crowning that painful!

  • @LDGrillo If you focus on your body and make the sounds you NEED to make its easier to bear thru the pain. I was 18 when i had my daughter,so i was really young but did it all natural because i figured just because we have the medication to "stop" pain....doesn't mean we should. lol So i made all the sounds and grunts i needed to get thru it and i did. You feel so much better afterwards.

  • This is such a beautiful video, it brought tears to my eyes. Although I won't deny how painful it appeared for you it still encourages me to have a natural birth as well. I am just entering my 2nd trimester now, I hope I can keep your strength with me for when the time comes!

CONGRATS on such a beautiful baby!

  • My partner and I are gonna have our baby in just 7 week. I actually cried watching this vide. What an amazing moment. Good luck to all the mums to be!!

  • im 35 weeks pregnant and i am so grateful to see this . i want a fully natural childbirth and i actually want to use a squatting position to deliver my baby as well. Thank You

  • ABSOUTLEY AMAZING!! thank you for sharing your birth!!!!!!

  • Good job what a buitiful baby! Congrats!!!

  • Thank you so much for sharing! I'm due in a week (!!!!) and I'm planning a minimally-medicated hospital birth and hopefully my baby and I can enjoy our first moments together as much as you and your little darling.

  • Beautiful Video and awesome how she latched on right away to your breast! I am due in 5 weeks and i am so anxious to meet my little man! thanks for sharing this video!!

  • how precious! Thanks for sharing! I will be giving birth like this as well, but in a birthing center. Any advice! Can't wait :)

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful but the guys really into touching her ass lol

  • @MYLiFeThEWaYiTiS lol he's massaging my back through contractions silly! It was a bit annoying though....

  • Thank you so much for sharing your active, natural hospital birth. Great job Mum! I have linked this video to my website as a great example of a gentle hospital birth.

  • wow you did amazing and you had such a beautiful ittle girl next time i have a baby im guna try on all 4s as i have been told it hurts more lying on your back and that is how i had my first x

  • cuz I'm in 7th grade

  • I'm just 12 but my health teacher wanted me 2 watch this

  • Thank you for posting this video... I'm due in 9 weeks and have been preparing myself mentally and physically for a birth such as yours. I was a little "creeped" out (for lack of a better word! LOL) during parts... but it was truly something I'm glad I watched. I pray that my midwife will be as sweet and supportive as yours had been.

  • @nellrowley Good luck I hope everything goes well for you x

  • you did AMAZING great job im going natural in dec,. you give me hope mama

  • Well it goes without saying that momma did such a beautiful job birthing her baby. But I'd like to send major props to the birth partner as well :) What fantastic, gentle, and loving support!

  • You know what? Naked woman hugging her freshly born child. It is miracle of the nature.

  • This was a really awesome vid. I am 4 months along, and having had twins 17 years ago, I am debating on natural CB. (The twins are a natural delivery). I cant get over how you were in such good shape imediateley after the birth, and that was what made me want to have my twins naturally too. Thank you for posting!

  • @Snorae It's actual quite possible to have a natural, intervention-free and gentle hospital birth in the US. I had a natural birth in a New York City hospital and an awesome experience- wouldn't have changed a thing.

  • thank you so much for sharing- what a lovely example of how wonderful a natural birth can be.

  • I agree that this was a great birth. I am due in 10 days, and I hope mine goes just like this!

  • Beautiful!

  • Cany I also have no idea how you see this as dangerous...probably should stuff your fist in your "know it all" mouth and walk away :) wonderful delivery, good job mama

  • That was a tad bit gross but I've never ever seen childbirth before but I gotta say that was a beautiful moment, a mother and her child when the baby is born into the world is beautiful and I don't think that was dangerous if the people at the hospital know what they were doin which looks like they do.

  • @canygirl thank you for your lovely comments. I'm genuinely intrigued as to why you feel this was so terribly dangerous for my daughter, other than the usual risks of childbirth..? I don't feel ashamed although I admit I could lose a few pounds...

  • @snowrae And you should'nt feel ashamed, you did great! I understand this was not dangerous to her, but to more untrained eyes who knows what they see. This is a beautiful birth video, thanks so much for sharing!

  • @canygirl

I don't understand what part of this birth you think was dangerous. It looks like a safe and healthy birth to me, very beautiful.

  • @Snorae: wow, she just wouldn't stop talking! How wonderful! Your birth was so amazing and I can tell that this is not in the States (by the gentle procedures, not the accents). SUCH a great job, I think. What a beautiful baby, what a beautiful birth, what a beautiful mom!

  • @XAhoney Thanks very much x

  • beautiful natural birth well done mum

  • This is truly inspirational! I am attempting a VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) in July in Hospital with a midwife. This brings tears to my eyes as this was what I wished for for my first child, its just beautiful. Im also on the bigger side also, I have seen so many super skinny women giving birth videos and it made me so self conscious - this has really helped me not worry about that also. SO thank you for sharing :)

  • that's not nice going natural is best for the baby. if you want a doped kid you should not be a parent.

  • @18pp4t ?? I agree which is why I had a natural labour and no drugs... What you on about?

  • congrats! very inspiring video and ur princess is sooo cute!

  • that was inspirational & encouraging - thank you so much for sharing!

  • epidurals dont always take either you could still feel everything and they can actually make you shiver and shake uncontrollable and the pitosin can give you such hard rapid contractions you can end up cutting of oxygen to the baby and end up with and emergency c section. You may want to do some digging on effects of baby and mom. A year ago i was convinced i wanted all the drugs they could give me or just cut it out now i cant believe i thought that way!

  • @cassiemeru89 I agree with this. I was induced due to so-called possible preclampsia and with the pitosin my son had irregular heartbeats and I had 1 minute contractions pretty much from the start. They talked me into an epidural and then when pushing came they told me my son was posterior and that I had to have an emergency c/s. I am not 30 weeks pregnant and will be doing a VBAC with no drugs at all. Wish I knew first time around....

  • not sure why some people here are so against gettng in a comfortable position to push??? Flat on your back actually tightens the passage and makes it harder and longer to deliver. If you can move around or get up gravity can help move the baby down and ease it out. Just swaying your hips can help move the baby down and into a comfortable position. I will never birth a baby flat on my back unless my body tells me to do so.

  • What a beautiful birth! Im due nov 5th im so excited im working with midwives in a local birth clinic they already know i want no drugs or iv and i want the cord to be white before it is cut so i know the baby is ready to breath on its own. They have a birthing pool too which is something i really want to do but we will see how i react in labor lol. Im gonna breast feed and use cloth diapers! I love my midwives!

  • beautiful and empowering, I think it was a very respected Hospital Delivery. Thanks for sharing it with us. Hope Moms to be find the inspiration to try this, nothing should numb the most amazing moment in the Life of both Mom and BB.

  • Enhorabuena!!!! Hermoso parto.

  • thank you so much for sharing, ill be having my first baby in a few short weeks and im so nervous about it, but its great that i can see a bit of what im in for lol

  • I want a natural birth...all my 5 (soon to be 6) have been c-sections. What I wouldn't give to go through labour and birth. The pain, the excitement, all of it. I love all my kids dearly, but feel like I have seriously missed out by not giving birth to them naturally. Congratulations by the way, what a lovely birth....theres always gonna be some mess, but that's how God designed it. :)

  • why would you want to give a natural birth? i mean, c'mon, why would you want to go through all of that pain when you can have an epidural? when i have my baby, which is in about 3 months, i am SOOO not doing natural or kneeling position.

  • @greengirlofutah lol I can see your point and think it's fine to chose to have an epidural. I didn't want one because I wanted to feel in control of my body, know exactly when to push and to be able to move about as much as possible. But that is all a mute point anyway because there was absolutely no time for an epidural in this instance. My labour was less than 3 hours long and I gave birth within half an hour of arriving on the delivery ward...

  • @greengirlofutah y not have a natural birth?? isnt that the point? i mean u get pregnant knowing that labor comes with a bit of pain....and about the epidural, yea dont think so, i mean unless i want to deal with back problems for the rest of my life! i think its all in the mind and u can control ur pain levels.

  • I am due to give birth in 2 weeks and hope to give birth kneeling like this. What great video, it gave me the opportunity to show my husband just what my expectations are - thank you! x

  • JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!

    Fantastic birth!

Well done for birthing on your hands and knees.

I birthed our 2nd and 3rd baby and hands and knees and really wished I didn't birth our first baby lying flat on my back :(

  • Beautiful movie! Going in to get induced today and this movie is very encouraging and inspiring!:)

  • @sryo89 Wishing you well, hope everything went smoothly for you!

  • Beautiful! Made me tear up a bit

  • With my first, the midwives said they wanted me in this position. I tried it but just wanted to be on my back. It was more comfortable for me to lay down than to feel all the weight in my stomach. All women are different though and what may be comfortable and easier on you may not be on another. I never remembered it being this difficult. It was all dreamy like and the pain was intense - exactly like they explained it to me, a burning rod when you start pushing the baby out.

  • @BreathlessEndeavours I agree, as with all things everyone is different, my friend was exactly the same as you. I tried a few positions in my first labour, spent a lot of time on my back, then my hands and knees and finally gave birth almost squatting I think. With this labour though it was all so quick and I was practically giving birth as I arrived that it was just too painful to lie down. I find it weird watching this video as it felt much more dream like, calm and controlled at the time!

  • so does the fluid that she is like gurgling since they didnt suck it out does it come out on its out like spit up?

  • @lilLIZ2011 Yes pretty much. I remember her coughing a fair amount up over the first day or two. Never seemed to bother her all that much and didn't affect her feeding at all, think I found it a bit gross.

  • You did beautifully! I gave birth on my hands and knees too- I think it's best to birth in whatever position feels best to mom. :) And look at how well your little girl latched! Yay for mom and baby!!!

  • Wonderful movie-havin my own any day now and this movie has been my inspiration!:) Great job!:)

  • really good video... feeling a lot happier about going through this in a few weeks! Thank you :D

  • Great movie! Mine's due in 3 wks and I've been thinking that giving birth on hands and knees (my midwife encourages that) will be the easiest and best way for me! Thanks for the video-beautiful baby!!!:) Great job!

  • werent they suppose to suck out the liquids out of the babies mouth and nose?? the baby was gargaling on all that junk

  • @Jessica141996 First, what were you searching for? It will answer your first question. Second, To get mother and baby skin contact. It is preferable that the babies first smell and memories are of their mother so they can recognise her.

  • wow thank you for sharing...

  • wow!!! omg i have had four babies, but i love watching birth videos and especially this video. you were amazing. x

  • Beautiful congrats on ur gorgeous baby u did very well:)

  • You just allowed all of us to see you NAKED!

  • Loved this video!! Inspires a heap of confidence.. I'm due in 10 weeks and want a natural birth. Have to be in a hospital because I live on a small island but if I can do it like you, I'll be happy.. So awesome!

  • this was what i needed to see! what a great delivery! and how you took charge to get up on all fours even with monitoring! beautiful and thank you for showing the delivery! congratulations!

  • Omg the baby popped out so suddenly & just went flying out! Maybe the umbilical cord helped the baby slingshot back! That scared me for a minute. Maybe the nurses can control the baby better when in the normal laying down position? I can see how this position might make it easier though...but my gosh I would never be brave enough to lay naked like that in front of everyone! At least on ur back u can cover some stuff. Mind u if the pain is that bad, i guess u wouldnt care hun...

  • very very glad i saw this - our first baby is due the day after tomorrow, and all the labour videos on the internet are american, useful, but the practices are just not the same, so this was great for me to watch. you did great anyway, i hope its that easy for me...

  • @BMBAbaby Hope all went well for you!

  • thank you so much for posting this, just shows you can have a lovely birth in hospital :)

  • What a great video! You midwifes were awesome...I love how gentle they were with your daughter. No harsh rubbing or suctioning her airways. I love how you ripped your shirt off and they gave her to you right away and how she tood to nursing line a champ! Beautiful birth Mama!!!

  • That was amazing and beautiful!! Good job!!

  • That was so beautiful and primal, how birth SHOULD be.

  • Oh the baby is born, off with the shirt!

  • WOW! i cant believe im going to be doing this soon myself! Thanks for the honest depiction!

  • hospital births seem like nitemares compared to home births. im due in a month and am having a hospital birth. i hope it can be more like a home birth

  • Oh I absolutely adore this video! I love how you just whipped off your top in the end, not giving a care in the world<3 fantastic, and it is truely appreciated we get to see this.

  • i tried on my hands and knees n it was horrible n more pain full

  • Do u think this birthing method was much more comfortable and easier for you than the doctors way of having you lay on your back?? Im 25 weeks and trying to figure out which method i think would be best for me. First time and all

  • @Kaalas For me it was much more comfortable and instinctive to be upright, I'd have been very upset to have had to stay lying on my back. I'm sure it'll be different for some people, but gravity is definitely on your side when on your hands and knees or squatting. Good luck and congratulations!

  • Congratulations!

  • Awwww, i'm so happy 4 u ^^ She's gorgious

  • this birth seems kinda crazy because they yanked the baby out with such force i dont think that was necessary and could actually hurt the baby in the long run...

  • @fortheloveofmusic10 What do you mean they *yanked* the baby out?! They were barely touching her, it was me pushing that caused her to come out, they just caught her! I agree she came out very quickly but nothing to do with the midwifery staff, just the force of my contractions!

  • Wow...well done to you on the birth of your baby girl. Thank you for putting this up here. I am trying to get myself ready for labour mentally and its been good to see what other mums experienced. I think you did amazing, and have every right to be proud. Shes a little beauty. x

  • that was a really beautiful birth =) well done mamma and gorgeous baby!! thanks for sharing, very educational for a student midwife =) and the breastfeeding straight away was great!

  • that was a really beautiful birth =) well done mamma and gorgeous baby!! thanks for sharing, very educational for a student midwife =)

  • beautiful xx

  • Aaw, how adorable she is. It's amazing that she just knew immedietly what to do, just grab on with her little fingers! :)

  • Fap fap fap

  • How precious!

  • i also gave birth like that and it was far far easier!! i don't know how women do it on their backs?! great vid, you did well.

  • Wow, what a strong woman you are! Im 3 months with my 2nd and dreading it this time. Was your 2nd labour faster/easier then your 1st child?

  • Well done and congratulations, you did very well. I am Pregnant now 32 weeks and watching this has made me even more excited to give birth.

  • Did u not have any drugs to ease the pain?

  • @leloj1s No not for this labour. It was pretty quick, I was only in the hospital for half an hour before she arrived so no time or need really. For my first labour I had a bit of G&A and pethidine - which totally spaces you out!

  • What a great video ! Very emotional, it made me cry. Im almost 28 weeks pregnant, and am planning a natural childbirth with my first child. I hope I can be as strong as you were. Again, great video, and thanks for posting

  • aaah wow this made me cry lol! Im 30 weeks with my second child and cannot wait to give birth...the most amazing gift ever! You coped so well and little Seren is adorable!!! loved how she latched on so well, hopefuly my labour will be as calm and rewarding :D thanks for sharing xx

  • Good partner (hubby?) you've got there! He seems so calm!! I'm so having an epidural. But you did great! And I've been present for a natural childbirth, and she did amazing, too. But, I know my pain threshold, and I'm a total weenie. ;)

  • I am expecting my third baby in November an I have been looking for videos that show "true" labor to show the father because this is his first and this is the most nitty gritty video I have found, you did do an amazing job and thank you so much for posting this, now I can only hope that he isn't scared and even more paranoid after he sees this video, god bless and enjoy your little girl

  • wow, i'm amazed at how you're not tired at all. wonderful healthy baby. hurrah!

  • yeah cause she did poo I thought they woulda sucked a little

  • @BonnieAM20 8lbs 1 oz or 3.66kg

  • I have never seen the word" Beautiful" posted more on any other webpage in my entire life

  • thank you so much for sharing, I am 37 weeks pregnant and getting anxious, I was in tears by the time you had baby in your arms. Hope my delivery is just as smooth.

  • Congratulations I am due in 3 weeks thanks for posting

Ps hope u and your baby are doing well xx

  • Beautiful beautiful beautiful! I am trying to conceive and just hope I can be as in control as you were when I deliver. Thanks so much for sharing your special event:) Congrats and well done:)

  • That was beautiful! thank you so much for sharing. Im a student midwife myself so I found it really interesting. Were They warm packs the midwives were using on you? It was also so nice to see the skin to skin contact straight away. Thats something we try to encourage women to do in australia-I would love to see that in every birth!

    thanks!

  • wow. what a beautiful video :)

thank you for sharing something so personal x

  • absoutley beautiful , well done congrats, its amazing seeing it from the other side ,

  • omg that is amazing i have 3 beautiful children but its abit different when you erm how can i put it see it from the other end....incredible xxxx

  • Simply beautiful.

  • well done u did incredibly well - well done for doin wat u felt u wanted to aswell, it was obv what ur body needed. I'm due at end of January and am tryin to prepare myself early on for labour and the birth..!!

  • Well done you did a great job :)

  • that baby is soo cute! I dont how u did it....me being girl could NEVER do that and never will experince that....kudos to you!! it must be amazing.....yay! :) u got one looker there....so freaking cute!

  • This was amazing u go girl!

  • Beautiful birth... What country are you from?? I don't see a birth that natural ever happening in a US hospital you did amazing and so did the doctore (were they Midwives?)

Beautiful, thank you so much for sharing this!

  • @Mommy2kal Thank you, I live in England and both my hospital labours have been similarly natural with little unnecessary intervention. They were all midwives, one was a student.

  • @Mommy2kal llölöö

  • you are soooo wonderful!! i loved your strength and your litle cutiepie baby! i wish you both a great life together..and thank you for posting your video here and don't mind the haters, they are just empty minded low beings who don't even understand the natural cause of where they come from! you are encouraging other mothers to natural birth and besides, you show that it is not soo scary! love you!

  • you are soooo wonderful!! i loved your strength and your litle cutiepie baby! i wish you both a great life together..and thank you for posting your video here and don't mind the haters, they are just empty minded low beings who don't even understand the natural cause of where they come from! you are encouraging other mothers to natural birth and besides, you show that it is not soo scary! love you!

  • Are you Aussie? Great video.

  • @FlyLady13 No I'm from the UK, North East England to be precise! And thanks.

  • It's good that these videos are on youtube. I think that most girls should be shown birthing videos and be told as much information about pregnancy as possible, gross bits and beautiful bits. Pregnancy and child birth is nateral and beautiful. I'm only a few months away now from having my first child, a baby girl, and that's why i'm watching these videos. Have to say that your baby is a very cute baby, thank you a lot for this video. x

  • I gave birth leanin over the toilet with seat down so I more or less squat, there was no way I could i lay on my back. my son is now 20 months old, i had a good birth and hope in the future, I will have such a good pregnancy and birth. congrats to u and family xo

  • Thanks for sharing. Seeing this will help me in October when I'm having my first child. : )

  • what a stupid cow you are for making such rude comments about such a beautiful process grow up!

  • ignore the other post. Sounds like a complete moron to me. Your birth is beautiful! Im 34weeks and hoping to have one similar. You are so strong! Be proud! Im actually considering letting my fiance film mine now if he wants to because now i can see that it can be beautiful gross bits and all lol!

  • @destinych86 Thank you and good luck for your labour and safe arrival of baby!

  • what a beautiful and perfect birth. You should be commended for showing the truth of birthing.

  • @sini203 It is because it is natural for me to give birth that I am unashamed to allow others to see it. And on the whole most people who watch it appreciate that because they're intelligent enough to do so.

  • @sini203 It's seems that you have nothing better to do with your life than to join an internet site purely to watch something so that you can then be abusive to the people in it, how *intelligent* and *mature* of you. I have never claimed to be a goddess and my brains are in good tact. What makes you think that I was uncomfortable with showing my body *before* I was a mother? I am perfectly aware that having a baby is not *clever* it is purely natural, and wonderfully so at that.
