680i and 780i are the motherboards Nvidia Chipset models the 780i is more advanced

Asus Striker II Extreme it says ddr3 support 1600 / 1333 / 1066 / 800 MHz does this mean it will take ddr2 8500?

Iv baught a Asus Striker Extreme 610i motherboard does it have pci-e 2.0 and will I have any issues using a ATI HD4870 graphics card with it ?

i know what u will say but im building my first rig and already got the first striker. Im not an extreme gamer but i want my games to run flawlessly. Was buying this board a mistake???

no, that is good choice. striker is very stabile and very good for oc.
