  • hahahahaha!!! :D

...need to try thoses out!!! :D

  • Hilarious! Love the pose that ends all swing moves...

  • GENIUS. Still laughing over the Proposal hahaha (I've got a good mind to include that in my next choreo)

  • You left out: the Uvula Tickle, the Two In The Eyes, the Baby Thermometer, the Great Shirt's Afire (aka the Molotov), the Carpet Shocker, and the Turn-and-Cough! Spiffy moves, each and every one.

  • @diddymuck Clearly I must do a sequel.

  • Как сделать брейк?

  • @MyNameIsDr120 Couldn't have put it better myself, probably.

  • We used to the doggie-ear scratch, I scratch behind his ear, he shakes his leg uncontrollably like a dog and then we jump right back in....just like this video. :)

  • hah, great ;D;D;D

  • haha... cracked me up hard!!!! thanks folks!!!

  • Well done lindy another excellent video.... actually didnt notice it was your video, but alas it did make me laugh

  • @0crosso0 Why do you mean "alas"?

  • @lindybeige not quite sure... i think i meant even though i didnt know it was your video it made me laugh... as if to say i normally laugh at your videos but even though it wasnt i still laughed...... hmm the end of my commendant has been deemed unneccasary!

  • The "golf swing" and "the proposal" are highlights.

    Funny stuff!

  • Very Pythonish. Reminds me of the Funny Walks film.

  • great! i love it!

  • Very funny, make more ! :P

  • Ha.

My dance partner and I came up with the "Superman" which involved her diving at me and me catching and swinging her in a circle. Well, she told me she had always wanted to fly, and I was in love....

Sometimes she misread my lead though. Anyway, I'm married to someone else now.

  • What the hell.

  • This is deeply sinister humour. I love it.

  • Holy Crap, this is funny as hell. I think each city needs to come up videos just like this. I think for the next jam circle I'm going to incorporate the "Golf Swing"...and I think I'm going to start with the bow, end with the finish move and walk off just like they did in the video.

  • holy crap...this is awesome. I think I'm going to incorporate the "Golf Swing" from time to time. I think there need to be more videos like this. Could be very interesting. Plus I think it would be funny to do the bows and endings during jam circles. Great for a laugh.

  • i need to figure out what a move is called. the girl ducks down they guy swings his leg over her head and then pulls her up from behind/underneath him and turns her out

  • Haha, me and my partner shall certainly integrate some of these neglected gems in our routines.

  • Bwah ha ha ha! I love this!!

Although, I'm pretty sure Juan and I have pulled some of those moves in competitions... Wait, what are you saying??

  • No, the bunny hop caught on... although it seems to be limited to white Protestant American wedding receptions.

  • Never having attended such an event, I shall take you at your word.

  • the proposal?! lol!!

  • Comment removed

  • It's a lot funnier if you are a swing dancer, perhaps.

  • this is just fuckin' awesome, don't let someone tell you any different!

  • LOLL

  • LOL the proposal. i love how they go on dancing after the slap.

  • haha, I love it! ^^

  • wow. one of the best vids on youtube. the golf swing and proposal were the funniest.

  • Fabulous! I really like the details like the sound effects for the footsteps!

Whose version of "Who walks in" is that?

  • From what I could find out, the version of the song is by the band "Firehouse Five Plus Two".

  • lol FUNNY

  • These must be revived. Some of the greatest swing moves have been lost to history... we must bring them back!

  • LOL Those are awesome!

  • Hahaha. That's really funny.

  • Haha the Golf Swing!!! im totally stealing some of these!

  • Well done! Especially like the extremly serious expression on your faces!

  • i rather like the golf swing...all it needed was a "Fore !" 5,6,7,8 !

  • Priceless! love the music too!

  • Bravo! Brilliant! I love it!

  • jajaja

    so funny!

  • It's now mi mission in life to make this moves popular!!!:)

  • this is the best! had me cracking up a long time .. i really really love how you end each move with a layout too... awesome :) how did the dancers keep from cracking up?!

BRAVO! MORE GREAT SWING MOVES OF THE WORLD THAT NEVER QUITE CAUGHT ON PLEASE!

  • A "layout" eh? Never heard it called that before. We prevented cracking into smiles with Sellotape. not very authentic, I know, but quite effective.

  • Cute video! How many moves are real?

I know that the Bunny Hug was a dance, popular during the turn of the century--as well as the Turkey Trot and the Grizzly Bear, among others. They were 'vulgar' dances, which Vernon and Irene Castle 'cleaned up' during their dance revolution in the 1910s.

  • The number of real moves, both by name and by action, is a moot point. We made them up, blithely unaware that we were replicating actual moves/names. After seeing this, many people suggested extra silly moves.

  • Yes, I see. Great idea :)! Very Monty Python as well, I love it! It's great to play on the fact that they did have silly dances with queer and equally funny names :).

  • have to try one of them at the next time i dance^^

  • Anybody know who plays this version of "who walks in when i walk out"?

  • I'd love to know too, it's a fantastic version! Anyone?!

    Great video, thanks!

  • HAHA I like the proposal and I know the bunny hop. Great vid. :)

  • I'm trying to decide if the world would make more sense or less sense if this is what Lloyd became famous for... Stoke would approve, I'm sure.

  • very clever...looks authentic even! I am afraid we may see some folks breaking this down though and teaching it as the real thing. That would hilarious.

  • some of them are actually done... not all completely false :)

  • Fun Video!

Bunny Hop is in fact a dance...I guess i'll out it on the 2008 herrang list to teach...lol

  • Very good. I thought those moves were quite clever. Nice editing and film production, too.

  • It's funny!

However, I thought there is a move called "bunny hop" in 20's partner Charleston...

  • I think there was a move called the bunny hop. Some people recognised the move I called the "ankle shaker". Mindi said "If that's a real move my name is Gretchen".

Lindy hop can be free form jazz and is not the world's most elegant dance. Perhaps there is no move so silly that no one out there has ever done it.

We're only saying that they never quite caught on, and I've never been taught the "bunny hop" in ten years of classes.

  • After doing these moves, there were many suggestions of more silly moves - the penguin walk etc. I even had requests for classes in them! Thank goodness swing dancers are so silly.

  • Haha, i LUV it!
