I seem to have managed to get oyster mushroom to grow very well. what I did was sterilizing the "food" for the mushroom. ripped the mushrooms I wanted to grow apart and put it all in a container. seems to work ok. all the containers seems just to have oyster mushroom mycelium. so it seems it doesn't need to be that sterile. just "enough" sterile.
sk82live92 yepp seems so. just give it sterlie food and the conditions it needs and it'll grow for you ;)
LMAO Damn, these questions are funny as hell.Half you people have no business looking at this video .especially if your asking about the pf tek.

Ok weird; now why would anyone want to do this? Is it practice for cloning other things?

if the fruiting body has opened and dropped all its spores isnt there a kind of hormone that tells all the mycelia to die out?

Bear in mind, this is the greatly abbreviated version. The full cloning technique is on the 4 hour DVD set.

Your chances are better for a successful clone if you use fresh tissue. However, with a clean lab and agar skills, you can clone dry mushroom tissue.

does it have to be fresh or can it be dry?

Thank you. There is a full section of the DVD that is on preparing agar for use. See it at mushroomvideos dot com.

Are there any videos on how to prepare agar? Is that the difficult part? I want to know. Rated this video five stars.
