Had an enermax 850w, it was powerful but just too noisey for my liking. i now got a 600w Zalman ZM600-HP and MY GOD the thing is silent.. its like you pc isnt switched on which is mad!!

What was happening with your TT ToughtPower PSU?

a 600w will just about run that rig. The Ultra requires more power than the GTS so you have to watch out. If your purchasing another and you intend on upgrading within the next year then you might want to think about getting a 750w instead. Your system might not need it all but you won't have to stress about buying another one for a while.

WOW nice, i used to play eve, but not very hardcore. Im in the process of building my own rig, dont think i can beat or even match a setup like that. haha. cant afford another 2 screens.

I don't play it as often as I used to. I would say I'm fairly good at it as I task between 2 accounts Mission+Salvage/Mining. I've lost quite a few ships while doing L4 missions so my isk isn't allot at the moment.

Before I even put the rest of my hardware in I tilt the PC to get any air pockets out. Any that I have missed get pushed out over time into the tube reservoir.

PCs as a kid was seen to me as school work and just kept to consoles which was fun. It mainly started from when my friend built me my first PC, about 8 years ago.

I hadn't seen it done before and got intrested on how he did it. I then got into benchmarking my system to see how well it stood againts others and learned of overclocking at the same time. I was mixed between PCs and Home Cinema setups as a neighbour game me there old Marantz system which at the time I think was worth over £2000 but found myself using the PC more and wanting more performance out of it which lead me to the whole overclocking and custom PC building.

Running Vista 64bit means Windows can see all 4Gig. Most applications work fine however some won't work without signed drivers which need driver signing disabled. Support is getting better though.

The most recent problem I had was with the nVidia driver error but since I changed to the OCZ memory I havn't had any problems.

Games suffer really bad under Vista and see upto a 30% drop in FPS compared to XP. If your just a gamer there is no reason to upgrade to Vista untill Crysis is released.

Yep, Eve online is one of the games I play.

Just an update: I went from the 2gig Cellshock to the 4ig Geil Black Dragon but had problem with my 680i board. The sticks eventually died and had to RMA them.

I have since then bought what I intended to first buy, the Reaper OCZ 4Gig PC9200 but due to this boards memory issues I can only attain 1066Mhz @ 4,4,4,18.

I have also ordered a Prometeia 2 Phase-change cooling solution but will take 2 weeks as it is being built from the manufacturer.

I have the latest P30 BIOS. A few other people have the same problem using 4Gig on the EVGA 680i, it's just somthing i'll have to deal with untill I get a new motherboard.

For my system its enougth but it depends on the parts your purchasing. Both my TFTs are fed from the wall sockets. If you get a GTX then you will need a minimum of 700w to be on the safe side, SLI should be 1000w.

Well gettin the OCZ never happend, ended up with Geil DDR2-8500 4gig Black Dragon. These stick are giving me sever problems. They arnt stable at the advertised 2.4v, 5.5.5:15, 1066Mhz (failes Memtest). Just about stable at 2.4, 5.7.7:15, 1000Mhz. Might RMA them.

My 10k HDD failed so i'm running vista on my old IDE drive. Thankfully I backed up the drive less than a week ago. I will be selling my Cellshock 1 gig sticks and getting 4gig, unsure what brand but multitasking in vista eats up the 2 gig I have.
