Just to add my own perspective...the Jim Cavaziel Jesus is accurate for a middle eastern Jew (the makeup artists made sure they made his forehead and nose the "right" shape...does it even matter really tho? I'm sure I do not care at all about any depiction...HE IS BEAUTIFUL in CHARACTER! Not a thing to do with His skin...can't we just enjoy this amazing song of worship?
Now, as for this song... it truly is magnificant!! Truly breaks my heart every time. I would have been content to just listen to it, but the images were pretty intense. I felt a wave of glory hit me when I saw the Arc of the Covanent! Man, His presence is so tangible, so electric. If you've never EXPERIENCED Him before, ask Him to. He'll do it right now as you sit in front of your computer screen. :) He's a LIVING God.
It's nice to read so many positive comments about humanity. I'm not deliberately looking for a negative here, but why does this video keep showing a white man as Jesus, when the word "beautiful" comes up in the song? I'm sure everyone knows that Jesus was born in Israel; he was dark skinned. Why are Christians so intent on making a black man white? I really would love to see the Christian community depicting Jesus as honestly as they could. That would be a breakthrough all of its own. Peace :)
It really bothers me, too, to see so many pictures of Jesus as this paper white guy... He was a Jew and lived in the Middle East. He was dark-skinned, yes. Likewise, it kinda bothers me to see Him depicted as a black man, too. I just want a realistic image. Even recently however I've begun to think about it... Paul said that Christ became all things to all men. I wonder if that somehow covers this discussion. He was relateable to us, no doubt. So maybe depicting Him in a biased way isn't so bad.

The most wonderful Person we can ever know in this life is Jesus. He is the greatest Person we can ever know in this earth. He is not a religion. He is a Person. Religion is man¨s way of going to God. Christianity is Gods way of saving His people. When we look at Him all the physical world will grow dim in the light of His glory and love.

Well we can't do anything to change anyone's thinking. It is hard to imagine someone not willing to receive God's grace and love but 18 years ago I was in the same boat. Someone..somewhere was praying for me and that is how I was changed. not by arguments or discussion. only God's spirit changed me. God is so good! So amazing that he calls us his own!!
