Guess I'm fortunate in that I don't get attached to a ride. I had a 69 442 that my Father bought new, I grew up in that car. It was willed to me when he passed away and I enjoyed it for a few years, but when the right amount of cash came along it had a new owner. Never have and never will regret it.
ive been there man!! i cryed when i saw my 66 charger drive away to never bee seen again WHY DID I SELL IT i still feel hurt like i lost a family member lmao
there is no amount of cash or trade that could make me part with my 1977 ford f100 custom longbox step side, i love that old hotrod even though its a mix of alot of old cars and parts. if i had to get ride of it i would sell it cheap to some crazed kid who would want to actually enjoy it like i do instead of making it into a trailer queen, enjoy the new ride man. go create some new memories
@KatieLynn0489 FOR REAL! NOT AN UPGRADE TO ME! I HAD A '71 BEE- 440 MAG, SIX PACK, SLAPSTICK BACK IN THE DAY! I WOULD LITERALLY GIVE MY LEFT BREAST TO GET IT BACK! DAMN, IF ONLY I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW! THAT BABY WAS BAD ASS FAST! COPS COULDN'T EVEN CATCH ME! LOL! WORST THING IS I CAN'T FIND THAT COMBO ANYWHERE AT ANY PRICE. ANYONE HAVE ANY LEADS?
@6point1man Polara is awesome. And a Hemi is a really different beast too. If you have one you know, if you don't, well you just have to find out. heh.
@scatpack440 Oh, I have one but it's a 2007 6.1 L Magnum SRT. Not the same as the old ones but I like it. I also have a '67 Buick. You should check out some of my vids.
Sniff sniff!!... I'll NEVER EVER EVER sell my Bee! Would be like sellin my KID!... Hell nah.... And that Bee sounds REALLY AWESOME TOO!! WOW!.. Looks like it went to an AWESOME HOME, yes??!! Thnx for postin! Sorry bout all the crap you're gettin in the emails, but I'm SURE you expected at LEAST a LITTLE, yes!? Superbee1970...
Man... that be is awesome. But why on gods green earth would anybody in their right mind even consider getting rid of that for a friggin polara??!! I mean I would understand a cuda or chally or even a charger or something.... but a polara? No offense man its just a matter of opinion I guess. I realize the polara has a hemi... but I would rather have the bee even if someone had stuck a slant six in it. lol
@marchchance Like you said people's opinion. A 63 is a dream car of mine. In a plethora of Super Bees at most car shows usually I am the only one. I have met legends of the Super Stock racing era because of this car. And to put it midly, if there was no 62-65 Mopars...no Super Bees, Road Runners, Challengers, etc. This eara of car represents the beginning of muscle cars. Nuff said.
ROFLMAO haha the 5-O in the parking lot in Ohio haha (1:45-2:00) should of brought him a cup of coffee! Nice too see so many pieces of American Auto History under one roof, made me smile! Have fun be safe and smoke-um if you got-um!
not good i think u messed up the bee had the original engin in it and might be worth more money then the polara but i am not sure. That bee was awesome.
Boomhauer actually has a 68 Coronet. Engine was far from original, yes a 440 six pack, but a 625hp 440 six pack!!! Polara is very different and I have been to many shows where there are lots of 70 Bees, but I am usually ALWAYS the only 63 Dodge.
i bet this was a hard moment. the day i sold my race truck was my hardest, but like u i dont have any regrets, it jus gives us the excuse for something else righ :)
What are you talking about? The 63 is just as much a beast and has a lot more character and history, do I miss the Bee, yes, do I have any regrets....NONE
No, it was 13 years of great fun. It was an original paint car but the new owner is repainting it so it will be like any other restored car now. The 62-65 Mopars are now one of the strongest segments in the muscle car market. I was the ONLY 63 Dodge in the entire 2500 car showfield at Carlisle in 2008 and won Celebrity Best of Show pick. There was 17 440 six pack Super Bees on the field. Nothing like being an original!!!
My mother had a super bee, it was an 0range 1970 with a 440. Knowing her it had to be an automatic and it had the spoiler on the back and the other hood type that I've seen on another one.
I don't regret the deal at all. Only thing is the engine in the Bee was a flawless powerhouse. The hemi makes much less HP, but the condition of the car is beyond anything I could ever afford. Too many good things have happened to me since I got the Polara...
I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't what I wanted. I got to meet a lot of different people because of the Polara (Nostalgia drag racing legends) that I never met with the Bee. No regrets here. The Bee was a great car though with a killer engine!.
I don't know- its your choice, of course... It's just I don't know if I would have been able to make the same one. The Polara is an awesome car, but that Bee was a beast... The Polara reminds me of my dad's old '63 Plymouth Fury III, though.
I bought my 1970 Charger R/T 440-4 from a guy in Mentor, Ohio. Thats a beautiful car. 70 was always my favorite year of the Super Bee. But Im sure that Polara made you forget about the Bee kinda quick.
It's never "goodbye", it's "until we meet again."
