  • very beautiful 6.38 minutes, thank You very much for doing this vid. This motive from 0.19" to 0.29"...0.44"- 0.55" ...1.42" -1.52" 3.09" - 3.16" and so on... I remember to a german lullaby, sung in my childhood with similar notes and the lyrics of the song (on this point) is that god is counting every evening all the stars in heaven, that no star becomes lost. I think, this complete composition of Muhammad Abdel-Wahab has anywise something to do with god, hasn't it?

  • To soistshalt

    My dear friend

First thank you very much for your nice comment and beautiful words

Second regarding to the melody you mentioned, it is the second phrase from the main theme of the song, M. Abdel-Wahab used (sometimes) to insert some Western melodies in his songs he meant with that to get the Arabic listener use to the Western music through his songs and that was maybe the reason of this similarity of the Lullaby you mentioned,

  • To soistshalt

    M. Abdel-Wahab got super talented from God; he stands alone among all the Arabic composers,

Hope you all the best, have a nice weekend and God bless you all

    Ahmad Al-Jawadi

  • "Näcken´s" trick was that he could turn in to anything. F ex if a woman was in love in a man, he would turn into that man. He could also teach someone to play on the violin and then that person would play magically well until he lost his mind, and it was impossible to stop to dance to his music. He has local differences but he might even have been from Skåne :). But the lake behind you is absolutely a typical "Näcken-lake". Wish you too a nice weekend.

  • My dear friend,

Really thank you for this fantastic story and really Im happy to remind you with (Näcken),

Yes maybe Näcken has been here in this lake, it is not that far from Skåne, maybe less than 200 KM from Göteborg,

    Wish you a warm week,

    Yours

    Ahmad Al-Jawadi

  • Old folklore are fascinating! We have also the "skogsrå", she has many different names. She dances with the other "skogsråerna" in the forest preferably in foggy mornings, and every man who sees her, can be lost for ever and follow her into the forest, and then when she turns her back to him, there is a big hole, if the man looks into it, he will see his own death and go mad or even die. :)

  • Dear Ahmad, forgot to say:

Yes, I am sure "Näcken" is in that lake... or at least

very close to it... just about the place where you stand. Can it be???

  • To rushdynet1

  • Thank you very much for your nice words, it is so lovely idea to be the new version of (Näcken), in fact I am honored to be the new version of Näcken.

Look at the lake behind me, maybe it is the same lake that Näcken used to play and the same lake the the people throw themselves in.

This lake is in Göteborg, was Näcken from Göteborg?

    Have a nice weekend,

    Ahmad Al-Jawadi

  • Ahmad: you basically fulfill the functions of an entire orchestra and do it with such grace and beauty. I know of many orchestras that can hardly reach your level, because a piece like this requires just the right feelings and tempo. And you have them. Thanks.

  • Really thank you very much for your nice words and more thanks because you focused on the Orchestra and the Orchestration, mostly I receive comments on my playing on the violin and rarely I receive comment about the music behind me or the accompaniment, sure I be happy when anyone write nice comment about my solo but then what about the orchestration? It is mine also; I wrote all this music and orchestration,

Really you made me so glad with your comment, hope you all the best,

    Ahmad Al-Jawadi

  • My pleasure Mr. Jawadi, indeed an honor. You brought back memories of an old AbdulWahaab classic and gave it a fresh look and sound. I cannot think of a better way of paying homage to the masters than to re-create their music with the freshness that you inject into such music. I hope that some Arab orchestras can learn from your arrangements and produce their work with the same order and grace.

  • chokrane jazil ya oustad , tarb wa hanane. ana mouftakhir .

  • Many thanks my dear friend for your nice comment, I hope that youll never get any stress.

Have a nice weekend with your lovely playing on your lovely Org.

    Ahmad Al-Jawadi

  • It´s magic. You make me think of "Näcken", who is a Swedish mythological charachter from old folklore who plays his violin out in the water. Anyone who sees and hears him gets spelbound and seduced and might even drown. :) Great work Ahmad! Thank you for this most beautiful moment!

  • Thank you for another master piece
